How to unlock the Superstar DJ achievement in DJ Hero - Definitive Guide

Bobby "Blue" Bland/Connie Price & The Keystones is by FAR the easiest. Boom Boom Tap DOES have crossfades and even directional scratches. If you're a player that can do decently at medium you should get this relatively easily. I usually get 4 or 5 stars on medium songs and I got it on my second try. The only thing You'll have to worry about is at the beginning you have to tap the same time you fade.

By the end of the song I had all the euphoria so I just gave myself a present and set it off so I wouldn't have to worry about the moderately quick crossfades and just tapped my way to 6 achievements. That's right doing this will get you 6 achievements along the way for a total of 125G. Of course you would have to go back for either the Euphoric Hoarder or Euphoric DJ Both of which don't require a full perfect.

Also as mentioned in other solutions you can over tap as long as you hit every beat but honestly I think you'll find this will come easier than you think.

No Mistakes Allowed - 20G
Tap King - 20G
Euphoric Hoarder - 20G
Fantastic Fader - 20G
Superstar DJ - 30G
Euphoric DJ - 15G

Hope this helps

I tried Bobby, Queen, and Boom Boom Tap all once, and i think Queen is the easiest one.

Boom Boom tap is short, bus has missable notes (missed one)
Queen is a song that is not that easy but at least there are no very hard parts (missed two)
And for me Bobby is the hardest.. there are some parts where you have to scratch, tap and crossfade almost at the same time.

But in these three tries I got 4 other achievements;-)

I usually get 4 or 5 stars on Medium, and 1 or 2 on Hard. The Bobby "Blue" Bland mix was the easiest for me. I got it on the first try on Expert, along with 5-star. I didn't hit all the directional scratches, but nailed everything else. Thanks for the solution!

I was able to get this on my second try 5 years after last playing the game (and not having 5-starred every track on medium at that), so this is definitely a good choice. Thanks for suggesting it :)

I found that Boom Boom Tap was too fast and to many easily missable notes , so I did it on Bobby "Blue" Bland / Connie Prince & The Keystones . I also got Euphoric Hoarder and Fantastic Fader with this just don't use star power and take your time and you should have this in no time.

You can easily do this on Boom Tap if you spam all 3 buttons together.

The easiest mix to play for this is Boom / Tap by Grandmaster Flash. It's the shortest, and has no crossfading or scratching. Put this on a custom mix and set the difficulty on Hard.

One trick about this achievement is that you can overtap, as long as you hit every note, so just focus on the easiest way of hitting every note. If you've been having problems, try this method:

For the first part, use two fingers. This part is fairly straight forward. (Boom, boom, tap.) When he gets to the break before the part with the high hat, get both hands ready on the three buttons. Make sure that if you have to hit one note, you hit all three. That way you won't have to worry about missing one. Get the beat down, and the achievement should pop in a few tries.

This method should also work for Tap King. I got them both at the same time, overtapping through the mix.

Once you can pass songs on hard difficulty this is going to be easy. You must perform correctly every Sratch, Crossfader move and note of a song in hard or expert dificulty. This trophy requieres 100% so if you over hit a note or something similar and lose you multiplier but still perform everything correctly you will get this. I recommend doing this on hard at the first set list (Scratching the surface) in the first song ("Ain't no love in the heart of the city"/"Fuzz and them") if you want to go for an easy trophy but if you want to make it fast and you are good taping notes go for "Boom" vs "Tap" mix by Grandmaster flash. There is only tap notes and effects zone (which are optional) so you wont have a really big problem with this trophy.

If you get this trophy you will also get "Fantastic Fader", "Tap King" and "No mistakes allowed". Four trophies in a row can be really sweet.

I advise you to choose songs with a slow rhythm. Personally, I scored these achievements in the Queen / Daft Punk song "We Will Rock You".
