Having a lot of trouble with E3M6. Is there an alternative way to get there without blowing yourself up? I can't seem to get the jump even when holding the run button down and pushing myself backward.

There might be, I will look into it.

There is an invulnerability powerup on E3M6, you could grab that first and then do the jump. That is how I did it.

I recently beat Episode 1 but forgot to look for the secret level. Just wondering, for this achievement, do you have to play whole episodes for this particular achievement or can I just skip to the Mission where each secret level is to get this achievement?

Nope, just use level select to choose the level it is on and you should be fine!

It is also worth noting the secrect exit on E4M2 has a short window before it closes up. Make sure to save before you go through the middle portal where the BFG/Cyberdown is. I didn't know it was timed and ended up having to restart the mission...save accordingly. Great guide thank you!

I cannot do the first one, everytime the door closes before i get to it and whenever i do manage to get there in time it opens a different section

Not sure what to tell you here, the same section always opens when hitting the switch. You do have to be somewhat quick when getting the first one. Try strafe running (running sideways) to save some time.

You can sprint and you will make it to the first one

For those having trouble, go into options and turn on always run.

How the hell do you do the third one?? No matter what I try the rocket launcher does not hit me far enough back to get to the secret exit….

I’ve tried running forwards when shooting the wall, running backwards whilst shooting, nothing gets me over the wall :/

@Burke by Nature. It took me a few times, but you have to shoot the rocket, then run. Timing is key. Also, once you do get it, make sure to not run off the damn thing like I did twice.

@burke… there’s an invulnerability in the level (straight ahead of start in the other end of the island). Grab that, get to the ledge and quick save. It’s a weird balance of shooting and running backwards at the same time. Took me a handful of tries but the invincibility at least negates the exploding red to muck up your screen

Rocket launcher knockback on E3M6 worked for me first try.

Note that on lower difficulty settings the rocket launcher is too weak and/or your character is too strong to do the jump in e3m6 as the blast does not give you enough force.

Also it’s possible to hit the switch through the wall from outside the box so the jump isn’t even necessary.

I didn't have a rocket launcher. Running the way FartingDolphin7 suggested worked for me!

It seems you need to find the secret exits in order starting from E1M3 or the tracker for this achievement will get stuck. I worked my way backwards from E4M2 and the tracker was stuck at 50% after I found the E2M5 secret exit. When I redid them in order, the tracker counted the last two secret exits properly.

Not sure if the rocket launcher's knockback was reduced significantly or what, but I could not for the life of me go even half of the distance that was shown in that video. Managed to jump the gap by quick saving and practicing the strafe run shown here:
