How to unlock the Sticky Situation achievement in Doom 3 - Definitive Guide

This is the first boss in Doom 3 and she is found at the end of Alpha Lab Sector 4. The chain gun and plasma rifle are your best friends this fight. On lower difficulties use the chain gun while on higher ones start with the plasma rifle (found in a secret on this stage) and fire at her head until the boss is dead. Here is a video of the boss fight on the recruit difficulty.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This boss is fairly simple to beat. The Vagary is a female spider like enemy that is actually a normal enemy later in the game, but this first encounter is considered a boss. Just keep dodging her telekinesis attacks and let her have it with whatever you have ammo for. The Chaingun works very well for this boss.
