How to unlock the Turncoat achievement in Doom 3 - Definitive Guide

There are many places in the game to attempt this achievement. I would suggest finding a narrow area such as the hallway I got mine in this video (sorry the achievement does not show up in the video but this is where I got it) and getting two enemies close to each other and trying to get one to hit the other one. This is best done when one enemy has ranged attacks as it seems easier to get them to hit another enemy.

I'd say this is almost unmissable. I got it accidentally. Considering that more people have this achievement than even beating the second boss, I'm probably not the only one.

You get this achievement by getting a monster to attack a different type of monster. An imp hitting another imp with a fireball will not count towards the achievement as the game considers this an exception in it's code. This is also a throwback to the old Doom game where a Hell Knight or a Baron of Hell will not infight between them.
Best way to get this achievement is to get a hitscanner(machinegun zombie is your best bet) hit any other demon.

It's not just a case of getting one demon to hit another, there is a sort of hierarchy where only the "upper" tier demons (Hell Knights, Cacodemons, Revenants) can attack the "lower" tier (zombies & imps). So to get this achievement you have to get one of the lower enemies to accidentally hit one of the higher ones.

There aren't many places to get this, I was able to do it in Delta Labs 2A, in a corridor with a Revenant and 2 chaingunners.

I just got this on my first attempt not too far into the Communications Transfer level. After being outside you'll take a lift back into the facility. You'll be in an area called Service tunnels. There will be a raised walkway on your left. Keep walking forward and you'll see a jeep drive through a gate. Around this time 2 Cacodemons will spawn in. Rather than engaging them run forward to an area that has a stack of crates. Two Imps and a wraith? (bat looking thing that cloaks or teleports) Once all the enemies have spawned in backpedal to where you first entered the area (the lift) If you get the positioning right the 2 cacodemons should be in front and the 2 imps in the back. When they throw their fireballs one shit hit one of the Cacodemons who will immediately aggro back to the imp.

I've already cleared the area but on a subsequent playthrough I will take screenshots and a clip to help visualize what I'm talking about if I wasn't clear enough.PM me and I'll send them your way.

Infighting has been a staple in the Doom series since the beginning. Nothing like seeing the demons go to town on each other. For this trophy, you just need to aggro two demons against each other. This can't work against all enemies as some won't attack each other even if they hit each other. The first, easiest way I found to get this trophy is in the Communications Transfer level of Doom 3. Towards the beginning when you first enter the Service Tunnel, you'll notice a zombie with a gun ahead next to a barrel. Don't kill him! Progress further down and two Cacodemons will spawn in. At this point you want to bait the zombie towards you and stand next to him. Line it up so that when the Cacodemons shoot their energy ball they hit him. If done correctly they will start attacking each other and the trophy will pop. Like most trophies in this game, it's best to make a save before attempting in case you fail or just want to reload so you can maintain your health.

This is one gameplay mechanic of Doom that I have always loved. Monster infighting!

The way that infighting works in Doom 3 however is when a lower ranking demon hits a higher ranking one. So for instance, you will need to get an Imp to hit a Cacodemon, in which leads the Cacodemon to destroy the Imp. The Imp most likely will not fight back.
