How to unlock the Sacrilegious achievement in Dragon Age: Origins - Definitive Guide

Agree to help Kolgrim to receive the blood! This is a must for sacreligious but does not stop you from getting the other achievement! I used the other solution and it didnt mention this and I had to replay the trial over again.

Simply save before you talk to him and agree with them until they give you the blood. From there on your can choose either side of the achievement once you reach the earn.

A good place to save it right before stepping over the fire. You'll know what I mean when you get there. Hope I helped.

Towards the end of your search for the Urn to heal the Arl, you'll come across the Cult of Andraste. After fighting hordes of them, you'll meet one of them who wants to talk. He'll offer you the chance of helping the Cult and still being able to heal the Arl. Accept his offer and continue on to find the ashes.

Whatever you do, DO NOT hit the gong. You won't be able to win the fight that comes until later in the game.

Note: If you have Leliana in your party, she will turn on you and you'll be forced to fight her.

One Playthrough Method: When you meet the Cult in the caves, say that you'll help them. When you get to the Urn, make an additional save. Do what the Cult wants you to do. Reload, and then defy them.

Towards the end of the ruined temple, you will meet the cult leader Andraste. He will offer you to help the cult, you can still cure Earl. Agree to the offer and go to the urn with the ashes. When you reach the ashes, you will need to desecrate them. Please note that if Wunn and/or Leliana are in your party at the time of corruption, they will attack you and you will have to kill them. You will also be attacked by the guard and other ghosts. You don’t have to touch the dragon, but if you want to kill it, see the tips for the “Dragon Slayer” achievement.
