How to unlock the Witch Gone Wild achievement in Dragon Age: Origins - Definitive Guide

==================================================================================

This achievement can be gained WITHOUT GIVING GIFTS.
You DO NOT DO HER PERSONAL QUEST for this achievement.
Romancing Morrigan can be done during your FIRST VISIT TO THE CAMP.

I used a human noble warrior to do this.

After the fight with the ogre in the tower.
When Flemeth says Morrigan is going with you.
Answer this:
==================================================================================
============================ CONVERSATION 1 ======================================
==================================================================================

Thank you, but if Morrigan doesn't wish to join us...
Was this your idea all along?
She won't come to harm with us.
No, I prefer you speak your mind.
We need all the help we can get

Approval +8

==================================================================================
Leave the wilds and go Lothering.
Run through Lothering and (unavoidably) save Bodahn Feddie and Sandal at the exit to the Bannorn.
Bannorn leads straight to Camp where you should save.
Have this conversation:
==================================================================================
============================ CONVERSATION 2 ======================================
==================================================================================

I'd like to ask you something.
How did you become a shapechanger?
That does sound like something you'd do.
I've never heard of magic like that before.
That's good. Such traditions need to be preserved.
That's all I wanted to ask
I think your abilities sound quite useful

Approval +7

I'd like to ask you something.
Did you grow up in the Korcari Wilds?
You can probe me anytime.
And you remained unnoticed?
Very daring. That sounds like you
That was quick thinking.
Were you upset by all the bad touching?
I guess the joke's on you, then.

Approval +7

So life in the Wilds must have been very lonely.
That sounds wonderful.
What happened then?
But you were just a child
They made you stronger, didn't they?

Approval +9

I'd like to ask you something.
Have you ever been hunted by the chantry?
And you are cute when you're evasive.
You really had no trouble with them?
Did you actually kill them all?
Do you still think that was fun?
You're probably right.

Approval +4

I'd like to ask you something.
Is Flemeth really what she seems to be?
An old woman
I'm more interested in the truth
That sounds interesting
Just how long ago is this?
Seems like a fair deal.
She spoke to spirits? Or demons?
Which? She never invaded? Or he never defeated her?
The legend tells of Flemeth having many daughters?
Why would she refuse to speak of them?
How is it that Flemeth has survived for so long?
An interesting story. Thank you.
I love her. What else do you want to know?

Approval +6

I'd like to discuss something personal.
(Kiss her)
Do you object?

Approval +4

I'd like to ask you something.
Tell me... are you really Flemeth's daughter?
She was not always as old as she is now, was she?
What if you have real family out there?
Now I see where youget it from.
Of course.
fYou're right. Love is so unneccessary.

Approval +11

Well we can't have that.
I'm sure I'll think of something.
==================================================================================

==================================================================================
Do you really need to talk?
That sounds like fun.
I can live with that.

Perfect! Worked just perfect!

Use this guide and you get the achievements in probably 15 minutes.
I missed the 8 points when she joined my group and i just got 4, but when you intimidate the severed mother in lothering to free sten, intimidate her and you get anoter 4 approval points.

Absolutely amazing solution. I'm currently doing my serious playthrough with a female mage, and this was my speed run to get the male & Morrigan sexy time going on. Did it with so little fuss or gifts.

Now I can return to finishing my main playthrough, just wanted to make sure I'd done Alistar's romancing right, because I save/reloaded a lot around that time, can't be sure if it counted. It did though.

Again, amazing solution for this :)

This is an awesome guide but do you have to do this while in Lothering or after and after or before I recruit Lelianna? Can you break up with Morrigan for Leliana or someone else to get those achievements in one playthrough?

MissJaded asked if it's possible to break up with one character in order to romance another. I will say it's possible as I managed to get 3 of the romance achievements in 1 play through using a Female Noble Warrior. As long as you know which dialogue options to choose it is totally possible. Unfortunately Morrigan will only romance a male Warden, so this Walkthrough will help me get the 4th romance achievement quickly and easily. Thanks!

Fantastic. Worked perfectly. You can still do all the quests in Lothering if you wish prior to camp. The only one to be careful of is when you intervene with the merchant who is charging outlandish prices for his goods. Forcing him to lower his prices will cost you points with Morrigan (-3 in my case) but a simple gift can raise this again.

This solution is still valid as of February 11, 2019, playing Dragon Age: Origins via the Xbox Backward Compatibility program. I followed the script to the letter with a male casteless Dwarven Warrior and it worked perfectly. +1 from me!

Thanks for the guide, I had a save early in the game and was too lazy to start over I was a male elf, The guide worked like a charm, in one of the dialogue sections my options where slightly different and I only got 4 of 8 points by the time I got to kissing her, it didn't show up so I bought necklace gift twice (exit after getting it the 1st time) and gave her 2 of them for a boost of +`19 after that when I spoke to her she went stright for the kill and skipping to the "Well we can't have that" part of your guide.

Just though I'd post for others playing non human characters. Many thanks once again.

As a male, get Morrigan to favour you enough to have a roll in the hay at your camp. This is probably also the first of the romances you will encounter. Although Morrigan has an outlook on life at odds with most npc's you run into, you can always try removing her from the party when you know she will not approve of the outcome.

Focused on early, this can be achieved after completing Lothering without any special plot gifts. Save up your gifts and lay it on her, starting with the Golden Rope Necklace, which will boost her liking of you by 8-10. Jewelry and alchohol works too (1-4). After that she will have warmed up to you enough to carry on through most of the conversation trees. Save your game first and talk about everything available. Morrigan can be a bit tricky to figure out, but reload if you get a negative outcome.

Once she likes you enough, you can talk to her about "something personal", and try kissing her for a last little boost. Once you finnish Lothering, look her up in your campsite and play coy.

my mate got it as early as you say, yet I got no where til after completing the majority of the side quests, the magi circle & have of Orzammar's questline. I got her approval with chat trees, a kiss, black grimoire, silver chain and another similar item worth 10pts, before she finally offered it up...

Select her in the party screen, then your inventory. Click on the gift items (pink/purple colored ones) and you will be asked if you want to give x to y.

I have given her a ton of gifts and acted insanely evil, but she won't budge. Every time I ask to talk about something personal in camp it only gives me the option to tell her to get out of the party or to say "Uhhh... Nevermind." like a blathering idiot. And yet her approval of me is like, almost max!

Any advice?

How far are you in the story Radiant Star? If you have advanced up until the point where this would normally happen, and have possibly said something to really upset her (a wrong response when it counted maybe?), it could be that you have spent your chance if you don't have another recent save.

That was the case at least with trying to juggle several relationships. One misstep and you had to reload.

I remember doing this as early as stated, but this was before any dlc outside the preorder ones. I'm fairly certain the grimoire wasn't necessary back then, but that could have changed. Do give it a shot though as I seem to remember the other relationships required the quest & key-triggers before you could take it further (like Liana and the people from her past she had to meet).

Also if you have the Feastday gifts DLC (which is bundled in with the Ultimate Edition) give Morrigan the Alistair Doll, that'll give you +50 approval.

I am fairly far in the game, I'm just now recruiting the last guys I need before I get to the Landsmeet (mages for me) I have a lot of saves, so I could go back if I needed to. Every time before I talk to her in camp I save, and I've made sure to avoid saying things that piss her off (like "Why are you here?" or "You're a heartless shrew!")

I'm not trying to woo anyone else on this play through either, so she's not pissed because I'm cheating...

The one thing my buddies keep suggesting is to do her Grimmoire quest, which I haven't started yet. Is that required to get her in a relationship?

I'd like to confirm that this method works. I just left Lotharing and am in camp for the first time.

I gave her all the gifts I had on me, and got her up +27, which put her at a little under 70 on the scale. Then I talked to her.

I chose the "I'd like to ask you something" path three times. I asked about:
1. Her shapeshifting ability
2. Growing up in the Wilds
3. Flemeth

Each time I chose answers she'd like and got 5-10 approval each time.

The 4th time I approached she said, "It's so cold in my tent" or something similar, and then after a few dialogue choices, she invited me in, and the cheevo popped after the cutscene.

There is a bug present in the game that generates infinite approval with Morrigan.

If you speak to the Revered Mother in Lothering about freeing Sten there is an option to intimidate her, Morrigan finds this amusing but she reacts before the game determines success or failure. The intimidate option doesn't disappear if you fail. SO simply repeatedly threaten the old woman, failing each time, to generate max approval with Morrigan.

i found this bug myself and when i did it for a while i decided to save the game, and then it was gone, so stupid

so i guess you have to seal the deal in one time without saving cuz i can't choose these dialog options anymore

anyone?

I just want to point this out, because it took me four different websites to find out, since I',m just starting the game. If you have ANY of your Coercion skill leveled up, then the Intimidate option will succeed and you won't be able to repeat it. So if you're looking at an easy way to get her in the hay, and you're like me and focused on raising Coercion for succeeding at Intimidate and Persuade options, then this method won't work.

This guide should be about romancing Morrigan. If you max out Morrigan's approval then she will not romance you.

Max appoval means she is in love and she WILL NOT have sex.

To make this into a proper guide you should indicate when to STOP getting more approval

Do we still have to do her personal quest?

As you talk more with your companions, if you check your codex, it will list some of their 'likes.' Morrigan likes jewelry, as well as selfish/darker decisions if she is in your party. Also, there is a 'black covered tome' gift you can find in the Circle Tower, which will give her a huge boost and unlock her companion quest.

Bedding this witch is not a hard as initial conversations with her make it seem. Yes she well hate anything nice you do, making seducing her hard to do with a morally clean Warden. Having problems with getting her to like your character then just bench her. Go about your game until you have a size able amount of gifts about 20 or so (the Black Grimoire being one of the most important for her, which is acquired during the Battle in the Circle of Magi) then simply take her into your party and unload all of the presents on her, save and then work your way through dialogue with her avoiding the obvious insults. If you get an approval then save, if she disapproves then reload. The dialogue took about five minutes for me to work through.
After I returned to the camp after giving her the Grimoire she gave me the quest that’s associated with it. Once I completed the quest her approval is well over 50 at this point which is all it takes to get the achievement. My second return to the camp I went over to talk to her and that triggered the conversation that allowed me to sleep with her, and Pop!(In more ways than one)

You have to be a male character to complete this romance. Morrigan will join your party after completing Ostagar. Be kind of a prick to other people to gain points with her. Have conversations with her about her past in the Party Camp. Don't get her romance level up too high. Morrigan is interested in flings. She doesn't want to be in love. See Hopelessly Romantic for more details.

Gifts
Black Grimoire (Circle Tower)
Flemeth's Grimoire (Flemeth's Hut)
Gold Amulet (Orzammar Commons)
Golden Demon Pendant (Room with the Urn of Sacred Ashes)
Golden Mirror (Orzammar Commongs) *Definitely get this one. Thanks to FooDawg for the tip.
Golden Rope Necklace (Lothering)
Locket (Haven)
Silver Brooch (Dalish Camp)
Silver Chain (Circle Tower)
Silver Medallion (Eleven Ruins)
Tribal Necklace (Tower of Ishal)

Feast Day DLC Gifts
Alistair Doll (+50)
Sugar Cake (+5)
Thoughtful Gift (+10)

This can be done on your first visit to the camp. I used a human noble warrior and followed the first guide on this page. Look there for the dialogue details.

Once you get Morrigan to join you, you'll gain +8 approval. Now ask her about becoming a Shapechanger and then life in the Korkari Wilds. Then the chantry and her mother. Then kiss her and ask her if she's really Flemeth's daughter. Once you've listened to all of her stories, she'll ask you to join her in her tent. Once you romance her, you'll unlock the achievement. This one's pretty easy as her approval threshold is very low. No gifts are needed. You can get this purely through conversation.

Make sure to break up with her before you romance Leliana. She's harder to romance and may notice that you're together and ding you for that. Leliana has a higher approval threshold and you may need to get her certain gifts to reach it.

To get this achievement you need to play as a male character. Morrigan will join you right after Ostagar. Do evil things and tease other characters to improve your relationship with her. At camp, talk about her past, do not bring the level of romantic relations with her to the maximum - she is interested in a relationship without obligations and she does not need love. Most likely, this will be the first character with whom everything will work out.
