difficulty does stack i beat the world tournament on hard and unlocked this achievement and the one for winning the tournament.

anyway, the easiest way to do this REQUIRES 2 controllers.

when setting up the tournament just set it up like this.

Participants: 4
Difficulty: HARD
Entry Req.: NONE
# of players: 3
Rule arrangement: NONE

then all you have to do is select characters for YOUR 3 "human" characters, the cpu will select one randomly.

start the tournament, make sure to beat the CPU. then just finish off the 2nd controllers characters easily.

takes about 15mins

same goes for the cell games on hard

Difficulty stacks, start up a Tournament on hard and kick some CPU butt, upon completing 2 fights you should unlock some goodies for in-game. and a whopping 75 gamerscore if you havent cleared it on normal yet.

This isn't as hard as it seems, you can even do this with an uncustomized character. Go into the world tournament option and select World Tournament, at the option screen afterwards set the following settings:

  • Tournament Participants: 4
  • Difficulty: Hard
  • Entry Requirements: None (It doesn't matter)
  • Number of players : 1
  • Rule Arrangement: None


Afterwards it will let you select your character and the 3 other characters participating in the tournament. For this you can select characters with customized items similar to ones under "The Days of Battle Continue..." to make the tournament easier for you
