How to unlock the Before Dawn Breaks achievement in Dragon's Dogma 2 - Definitive Guide

Talk to Oswald and Margit in Vernworth Adel quarter garden to start the quest Till Death Do us part in the quest you will encounter a headless horseman.

https://dragonsdogma2.wiki.fextralife.com/Till+Death+Do+Us+P...

However, you should defeat him relatively quickly as otherwise he may disappears.
Should this happen, he can randomly appear anywhere at night, so you should make sure to defeat him here.

If you dislike please let me know why

Found this on the wiki and it worked like a champ.

From the Waterfall Cave follow the path going towards the Borderwatch Outpost and you will be able to find a Dullahan along the way at night.

Yeah I'll just NG+ & quickly skip through everything just to get this quest again then, I'll inn save this time before the quest in case he flees again, I think this achievement is just tied to this specific quest, I thought it was a random encounter, which would work too but it's random so it might take a while before he appears again, thanks though.

Unfortunately I can't test it, but I think it's completely random after the encounter. New game + would also be a option, though

I already completed the quest, but during the fight, he just fled pretty quickly when the fight started, if I were to go back at night, would he reappear at that same spot again or is it just random then?

Dullahan appears in the end game as a more common enemy. If you can't get it during this quest, then he appears in specific locations during the end game.

A very common place you can farm him (during end game) is in front of volvanic island camp. If he isn't there, just rest in the inn and run out until he appears (again during end game,
).

The headless horseman will be in the "Unmoored World" which you unlock by completing the games true ending. I found him just a few steps away from a port crystal you can fast travel to.

I ran into him early on during my 1st playthrough but I was too low a level to beat him.

I found it at the derelict mine camp site a ways NW of the capital, at night time. This was before I had beaten the game.

Just got it and still on 1st playthrough. There's actually a quest called Till Death Do Us Part where you have to fight the headless horseman but he runs if you are too slow.

I fought him on the path leading away from the blazing forge, heading towards the volcanic island hub.

He can spawn randomly at night during your "normal" playthrough.
Then, there is a sidemission in Vernworth (starts at the fountain in the noble district; south of the western oxcart). A noble tells you about a guard that was send on a mission. Next, go to the wife of that guard in the eastern house in the noble district.
Now, be quick and look for the guard in the foggy area east of the ancient battlefield.
It's a fight against a dullahan.

Found him at night on the path halfway between Vernworth and Melve on my first playthrough. At level 50, he was still somewhat tough.

It doesn’t have to be in the unmoored world. His appearance might be random (I saw him south of rainshelter cave up by the elf town)

After reaching the Capital and meeting with Brant, this quest becomes available. Note: Ser Gregor must have survived his escorting of the Arisen to the Capital city Vernwurth at the start of the game. The quest pertaining to this achievement is titled: Til Death Do Us Part.

Lurk around one of the fountains in the noble district of the Capital (for me, this was directly on the right of entering the Noble District by the path with the Portcrystal as you'll see here https://prnt.sc/LFPaBhEDya5X ) and eventually you will be accosted by an NPC who informs you Ser Gregor is away and his wife is being visited by a different man. After the NPC implies this could be a plot to have Ser Gregor killed, go to the Watchheed's home and speak with Margit, Gregor's wife. She will realise the timing of Ser Gregor being sent away and the new man who's been visiting her and surmise they're connected and send you off to rescue Ser Gregor. Accept the quest and you'll fight the Dullahan (Headless Horseman) at the end of it at the marked location.

Note: even if Ser Gregor dies during the fight itself, you will still get this achievement. Just make sure you go to rescue him in time so the quest doesn't fail, as NPC dialogue makes this seem timed, even though it lacked the hourglass icon in the journal.

Edit: In the post-game, I encountered a Headless Horseman north of the volcanic slave camp you started the game at, so there's more than one chance to get this it seems.
