How to unlock the Raze the Dalelands achievement in Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale - Definitive Guide

This is for beating the final level. The level starts off by fighting a horde of minions ranging from skeletons to dragonborn warriors. Go for Rezelus don't spend your time messing with the little ones, its a waste of time and health. Once you work him down you will have to fight his dragon. The you will have to hit his feet till you bring down his head. Once you bring down his head go to one of the catapults and let it fly. Once you hit him run towards his tale and attack his head from this range. Once he flies off run straight at the flames between you and Rezelus. Hit Y as soon as possible, if you miss this you will have repeat the entire dragon fight.

I have a issue with the fight where if i get to close to the dragons feet my guy gets stuck and no matter how much i wiggle the thumbstick he just won't move. Do you have any solutions to this and there was even a time where all my special attacks wouldn't work, i was using a fighter btw.

Ah! Yes, yes!!! I had the same issue but I have found that it is a glitch in the game not anything particular to the dragon fight scene. It just seems to freeze up the character sometimes for no good reason. As for your special attacks, are you giving them their refresh time? If so its probably something similar to the freezing up glitch in the game system.

yea i was giving them the time but with the freezing in place if i spammed the block as the fighter it unfroze him so i could move again.

It sounds like you might be too close to the cut off time so the game glitches and sends you back. If not that than i would have no idea why it would do that.

Thanks for the guide. Me and three others were playing last night and we had to have one of them look up this solution here. We would not have beaten it otherwise, what with all the shoddy animation and glitches going on giving us no idea what was happening.

Half of the dragon battle he was invisible to most of us so we just had to guess what freaking part was on.

The very end game stuff is hilarious though, what crazy game.

I found a glitch in my single player game that can help slow down the fighting if you need it (e.g. time to let your regenrating amulet heal you back up). My controller's batteries died during this fight and I discovered that I could disconnect the controller, then reconnect and all the minor enemies simply are stationary for a while. I believe they starting moving around again once I killed one of them. Not a super glitch if you are already capable to win, but interesting I thought. Cheers.

This is earned after the final boss battle.

Phase 1: Rezlus and a bunch of enemies. Focus on Rezlus and let your allies handle the others. When you beat him the next phase starts automatically.
Phase 2: First, attack the dragon's claws. Stay close to the claws, so it won't spit fire at you. When you're attacking the claw on the right (as you face the dragon; its left claw) you can see that Rezlus is crouching behind the curl of the dragon's tail. This will be important. After defeating both claws, the dragon's head will be targetable and a bunch of enemies will spawn. Ignore them; if you kill them more will spawn. There are ballistas at both the left and right ends of the courtyard area. You will need to turn the one on the left (as you're facing the dragon) towards the dragon. Run back and forth between the two ballistas (so as to avoid the fire the dragon spits at you) and fire them at the dragon with . When the dragon flies away, run up to the fire blocking the path to where Rezlus is (on the right side, where the tail was earlier). There will be a moment when the fire disappears and you will need to quickly run up to Rezlus and press . If you fail you have to do the dragon part of the fight all over again.
Phase 3: QTE time. Press the buttons when prompted and crawl up towards the dragon's head. He will spit fire at you occasionally and you will need to move left or right through the holes in the fin webbing. When you get up to the head, just follow the QTE button prompts.

This is a short chapter and only contains two boss fights, Rezlus and the Dragon. To kill Rezlus you'll just need to put everything you have into him, his defences are pretty high so you might struggle a little. Don't waste time firing the catapult, it never hits him and the mages can easily down you whilst you're controlling it.

To kill the Dragon you'll need to keep attack both his legs, once they have no health left his head will lower onto the ground. Now go over to the catapults and fire at him, you'll most likely land 2 hits (300 damage) and you''ll have to repeat the process again. Once you've done this 3-4 times the fire around his feet will disappear for a short while, and you'll be able to get to Rezlus. Run up to him and hit  and you'll see a cutscene.
