How to unlock the A Warrior of the People achievement in Dynasty Warriors 7 - Definitive Guide

This achievement requires that you make every officer in the game (all 62) a sworn ally. This achievement is cumulative between characters, so if you get 15 sworn allies with Lian Shi, then switch to Zhen Ji, you'll still have 15 sworn allies.

In order to get an officer to be a sworn ally, you'll need to get their bond level to about 1/3ish of the bar. You can check their bond level by pressing start when you are playing conquest mode, selecting officer info, and then bonds. You can also check how many sworn allies you have total by pressing start and selecting stats.

Officer randomly show up in town, and if you have high enough bond level with them, they will become a sworn ally. In order for them to show up in town, you have to finish at least one of their legendary battles, which are the tiles with a face on them. You can highlight a legendary battle tile and see which character it belongs to. Each character has one tile.

I've seen one or two officers in town before I finished a legendary battle with them, so there may be other ways to get them to show up, but the vast majority of them didn't show up for me until I did their legendary battles. Maybe playing them in story mode, or something.

In order to raise your bond level with someone, you can either talk to them in town, or help them out on the battlefield. This will generally take the form of a rescue mission, where they are under attack from an officer and saving them gives you a bond boost. I think base defense missions also give a bond boost.

You should add to the guide that using them as reinforcements from the Merchant really, really raises it quickly. It costs 1000 gold each time, but it's worth it.
Here's an ongoing list of who is available in which towns: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/606303-dynasty-warriors-7/586...

Can you give me a definition of quickly? Because after getting them as a sworn ally, I can max their bonds in 6-7 minutes by using them as a sworn ally, and I don't need to go to town each time as your method would require...

Not to mention if the merchant isn't in town you aren't really able to buy them...

Blue slime, the achievement is for just getting them to be your sworn ally, not for maxing out the bond, correct? Anytime I complete a legendary battle (congeniality seals on both weapons) I talk to them in the town, the bond grows, but it isn't enough. One hire as a reinforcement, and you have your sworn officer. You can get enough on that bond while working on another in a rescue mission, even.

Mmf. I followed the link to these comments from a PM, I thought it was for maxing bond not sworn ally >_> I didn't bother using reinforcements since it didn't take that long. Still not sure how effective it would be when you have to fight 3-4 battles for the merchant to show up in the first place, but alright.

The way I'm doing it, those 3-4 battles inbetween are character's legendary missions, which don't allow reinforcement characters. I'll bang out a few of those, go talk to whomever's legend I just completed, then hire a reinforcement for the next mission, and hit a rescue mission for a chance to double dip my bond points.

Officers do not show up in town randomly.

- a specific officer appears in a town after completing his/her first legendary battle

- an officer will show up when you get 90% bond

- when you play with a specific officer, another officer will show up in a town that has a special connection to this officer e.g. his wife, her husband, brothers, sisters, mentors or close friends. In this case, there is always a dialogue between the characters instead of the normal monologue. The bond will always rise by 10% and you do not need to have met the officers beforehand. These officers in town are always connected to the character you have selected, not the one you have played (in case of Legendary Battles). Each officer has about 1 or 2 connected officers that will show up in town.

- not needed for this achievement, but officers will also show up in town one battle after he/she was made a sworn ally. Be prepared and save before talking to the officer as he/she will always ask a question with two answers to choose. The right answer will give you +10% bond. After a wrong answer (and no increase) you can simple quit the game and reselect conquest mode.

The first note is that you do not have to max out your bond with all allies, you just have to make them your sworn allies(which is about 2 bars on the friendship meter).

Now for preparation, all you really need is to have both your weapons with the congeniality skill equipped.

By the end of conquest mode you should have alot of sworn allies through natural progression of the game. But at the end you probably have a handful of warriors that are not your ally.

The best way I found to get them as allies is to replay the Alliance battles. Why? Because everyone shows up in at least one mission and after you play the battle it gets people to show up in the cities.

The best way to find the specific guy/girl you are looking for is to check the battle map during the alliance battle(hit select). If the warrior you are looking for is there, then there is a very high chance that he/she will show up in a city after the battle. It doesn't matter if the warrior is a friend or an enemy as long as your weapons have the congeniality skill. This is how I got my last 5 guys.

I hope this helps everyone.

Ok I am 3 short of 62 and was pulling my hair out trying to resolve it. Totally forgot the congeniality seal. Thanks for posting this :)

an easy solution would be to play 2 of each officer's legendary battles in conquest mode, (it'd probably help to have all the cities open), i did this and it only took a few hours. be sure to visit the officer in the city after completing each battle in the legendary battle hexagon

example: select Ma Chao's legendary battle > select first mission > select difficulty (i went with normal because you get more money and fame points and its not to hard and not to easy) > complete the battle > recieve fame and money > read pop-up of Ma Chao visiting cities > go to city and talk with Chao > bond grows stronger

for second battle example: you wont get a pop-up that they are visiting cities after completing the second battle and you may unlock a wallpaper if the legendary battle had only two battles in the hex, go to a city with a yellow flag and if it has ma chao, talk to him and it will say Ma Chao is available as a sworn ally, leave city and you will get a wallpaper, eventually you will have em all and *PING* achievement unlocked

now for the officers that have 3 legendary battles you only have to do 2 of the 3 battles, talking to them in the city their in after each battle of course, but you can go ahead and do all three if you like to work your way towards the "Ultimate Conqueror" achievement, it will just tak longer to get this achievement though.

another thing i did was instead of fighting every officer and peon in the map just rushed to the end of the batte where the last officer is and killed him making my time for this achievement shortened, but you wont get as many skill points doing this and you may have to fight some officers to open gates in the battle.

ACHIEVEMENTS YOU CAN WORK ON WHILE DOING THIS ONE:
Ultimate Conqueror
Wandering Fighter
Renowned Warrior
Hero of the Ages
God of War
Nobleman
Historian
Wallpaper Collector

hope this helps
