How to unlock the Audio Collector achievement in Dynasty Warriors 7 - Definitive Guide

There are two voice sets to earn for each character. One is by maxing out their bond, and the other is by purchasing all skills for that character.

The former will be acquired while going for consensus builder, but if you're looking to quickly max out bonds, my advice would be this:

1)Equip Congeniality on both weapons
2)Bring along a sworn ally who hasn't been maxed at all times
3)Hire reinforcements from the merchant whenever possible
4)Grind out on Rescue Missions

I suggest rescue missions as the person you save will also get a sizable boost, larger than that of bringing in a sworn ally. Escort missions also give a good boost, but take longer to complete. Unfortunately, the person being rescued, is random, but it will always be a person from a particular faction (For example, The Mt. Niutou mission will always have a Wei officer needing rescue).

As for the other voice set, that is the real grind. Ideally, you should rotate through your characters as you play through conquest, but even then, you'll still have a bit of work. Also, play through the campaigns first as the skill points earned pool together for all characters used. My advice for the post-conquest grind is this:

1) Equip both weapons with Skill Points Up
2) Set the difficulty to beginner
3) Grind out either on Conflict at Xuchang or Fierce Warriors of Shu

I recommend both those stages as they are quick and give good amounts of Skill points. Xuchang has a straight line to the enemy commander, with 8 other officers in the way. There are also other officers out of the way if you find yourself needing just a few more points. Fierce Warriors of Shu will pit you against 5 officers in two waves (1 wave of 3 and another of 2).
Both stages have their advantages. Xuchang is better if you just need skill points while Warriors of Shu gives you much better rewards (Fame, Gold, Stat boosts) and is thus better if you still need Nobleman, Weapon Collector, or Hero of the Ages.

Just an addition to this really. If you've maxes out the bonds and just need to do the skill points then you can level two characters at once by using a second controller and just leaving it stationary at the beginning of the level.

For me, the best stage to learn skills is Chamion of Chaos, in the northwestern corner. You fight 9 officers (wich makes 144 points) and it last 3-4 minutes at the begginner level.

Conflict at Xuchang works a treat, also you should edit your guide to reflect the comment made by Vursus, this effectively made a 15 hour job an 8 hour job.

Actually I'd suggest Battle for Bing Province as a great place for skill points: you get 4 officers in one tiny area and it doesn't take 20 seconds to kill them. If you install the game to cut down loading times your looking at an officer every 10 seconds:)

I don't know if any one has suggested this but also having a second player sign in helps you do two characters at once...If they also posses the Skill points+ ability which all characters have on the start of one of their branches and two skill points+ abilities - one on each of their weapons then they will also receive +16 skill points at the same time to speed things up even more...!

One thing to watch out for as well, if you buy all of the skills and it unlocks the voice gallery make sure to save or finish another battle. If you buy the last skill point, complete the gallery, but then turn off the 360 it wont save the skill point being bought, but it will show that the gallery is complete. So this achievement is a little tricky in that you have to complete the voice gallery BUT ALSO have the completed skill trees for all characters saved.

I've been playing "Battle for Supremacy" on Beginner to build up the skill points for each of the officers. The map has 37 enemy officers, for a total of 592 skill points (if you have both Skill Points Up seals equipped). Just walk/ride near one of the enemy officer camps (Cao Cao/Liu Bei/Sun Jian), and they will put their troops under high alert. This will cause all of the surrounding enemy officers (about 9 of them) to run toward the camp, and they will clump together. This makes killing them much easier, and I can usually kill the group in 2 or 3 musou attacks. Don't kill the camp commanding officer before the clump is formed, otherwise all of the surrounding officers will retreat. Characters who have musou attacks that break the clump apart (for example Lu Bu or Dong Zhuo) will take a little longer, since you will have to wait for the clump to reform. Picking up an AttackX2 from one of the peon bystanders also helps kill the clump faster. Repeat this process for the remaining 3 enemy camps. I usually start with Cao Cao's camp, then work my way around clockwise to Sima Yi's camp. I am able to do a complete 37 officer clear in 10 minutes.

There are two voice packs for each character. They are:

General, which requires unlocking all skills for that character.
Conquest, which requires maxing out the bond with that character.

For quick skills, make sure you have the character's Skill Points Up skill right away, and equip the Skill Points Up seal to both weapons the character is using. Then, fight a battle with a lot of officers (like arena battles) and go to town. In my case, almost every character I had already used in story mode had enough skill points, so it just meant earning them on characters you don't use in any of the stories.

One other huge tip for gaining skills: Use 2 controllers in Conquest mode! The second character will gain any skill points the first character gains, and you can effectively double the rate you gain skill points. Maps like Conflict at Shouchun have no danger for the players until they move forward, so the 2nd player can be safely left idle. Even on other maps, playing on Beginner and equipping defensive seals should be enough.

For the bond, the easiest way to max out a bond is to get them as a sworn ally (by completing at least one of their legendary battles and then talking to them in town once their bond is about 20%) and then bring them with you into combat. Every battle you complete with a sworn ally will increase your bond with them.

For more information on how to increase bonds quickly, check out my achievement guide for Consensus Builder:

Do not have a second controller if you are doing bonds, second controller nullifies ally and any request for support

I wish I had read this sooner. I only had three characters left to max out their skill before i did. The second controller would have made the process a whole lot quicker

If I might make a suggestion.

I found the easiest way to max out people's skill trees was to, as described above, whenever you play a legend battle do it in 2 player mode, or any other battle that forbids sworn allies for that matter.

If you have maxed the bonds and are just looking to fill up those skill trees though, repeated runs of Lu Bu's first Legendary Battle at Hu Lao Gate can't be beaten. Equip Walking Speed Up on both weapons and play it on beginner, you fight 19 officers very close to each other and the stage is literally finished in 2/3 minutes. That is 304 points..

Granted you are only levelling one character this way after Lu Bu is done, but it is stilla lot quicker than taking underlevelled characters through stages like Flowers Amidst the Chaos.

As a bonus aswell, Lu Bu is starred in most of the weapons available, so I found thta many officers a great way to finish off my Seals collection

For the skill trees these were the officers that you SHOULD (using skill up on weapons) be able to get maxed through story mode:
SHU:
Zhuge Liang, Guan Yu, Zhao Yun, Guan Suo, Jiang Wei, Pang Tong, Huang Zhong
WU:
Gan Ning, Lu Xun, Zhou Yu, Sun Quan, Ling Tong, Huang Gai, Lu Meng
WEI:
Xiahou Yuan, Xu Zhu, Cao Cao, Zhang Liao, Xiahou Dun, Zhang He, Jia Xu, Cao Pi
JIN:
Deng Ai, Sima Shi, Zhong Hui, Sima Zhao

You will have to complete their legends to get them as sworn allies, which 70% of the time you will get after doing their legend, then you will have to max the bond to get 2nd voice
Also add a 2nd controller to maximize skill point gathering, but if you are doing a map that allows reinforcements or sworn allies DO NOT use a second controller unless you have maxed all bonds.
Also this is what i have been doing since it seems the most efficient
For conquest mode the merchent shows up every 3 battles(usually), make sure the character you buy the reinforcements with is the one you are playing as, do a battle that you can use reinforcement/sworn ally single player then do two non sworn ally missions with a 2nd controller to maximize skill points

If you have someone who will play with you there's an easy way to boost skills points. I just started doing this tonight and it's the method I'll be using to max out everyone.

Disclaimer: Although I didn't read the last comment in the thread above until after posting this, I don't want to get called out for stealing a solution.
That being said.

Thanks, GaTechGrad

First, I'll explain the place. This is best done on "Battle for Supremacy". This is a fairly tough battle but can easily be handled if playing on beginner. The reason I chose this fight is because on the situation it puts you in. You have no allies (aside from a second character), You're facing all four forces, and there's a ton of officers. Each force has about eight officers.

Second, I will talk about your "boosting tool". Zhang Jiao's second musou "Miracle of Heaven is devastating and it spans across a wide area. You'll need to load Jiao up with Skill up, attack up, speed up, and musous. The skill seal, I assume, would be an obvious choice. The attack is for the power of his musous. The speed is highly beneficial for this strategy cause you need to be able to stay ahead of your enemies as you kite them. Now, this last once isn't completely necessary and you could sub in more attack or something even more brutal (i.e. Synergy, Double Element+Elemental attack up)

Finally, the strategy comes into play. Zhang Jiao will have to be player one, otherwise, the enemies won't chase after him unprovoked. Player 1 will run around each force, one at a time, gathering up as many officers as possible and kiting them over to the kill spot. Generally I pick a place where they'll have to bunch together to all get through. A small fort doorway, the fort itself, or my personal favorite, a bridge. Once they've bottlenecked it's time for player 1 to shine. Jiao will begin casting Miracle of Heaven as much as he can. If you run out of musous, there are always jars and dragon statues to help you resupply. Once you've defeated the officers you can start moving on to the next force and player 2 can pick up the stat boosts as well.

Voila, easy boosting with a friend done the way it should be. Efficiently. Anyway, I hope you've all enjoyed this guide and feel free to give me a shout-out if it helps.

After trying the other solutions and finding that you don't get skill points as quick as I'd like, I tried something on my own and found it rather successful.

If you play on Battle for Bing Province (top right of map) this level has 4 officers which are all right in front of you and can be easily killed in a few hits. It takes roughly 30 seconds (including load time) for each attempt.

Doing it this way you can get over 1000 skill points every 10 mins or 2000 if you're using 2 controllers (1000 each). Unlike the Lu Bu level you're not limited by character choice so overall it's about 4 times faster.

Hope this helps, if you're going to leave a negative please leave a comment explaining why so I can alter my solution.

Happy hunting folks smile
