How to unlock the Chi Collector achievement in Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce - Definitive Guide

The key to these achievements is basically clearing all 3 campaigns, then do all the gaiden missions. The gaiden missions are the best places to get all the very rare components like phoenix souls, tiger souls, and warrior souls. Officers often drop them as a rare drop, which is better than getting them as a mission reward from a long mission for two reasons.

First reason: the missions that give rare materials for sure as a reward are usually, like I said, long, and/or they come from the bonus requirement which involves huge wastes of time such as beating on two hyperactive crazy ghost birds for 10 minutes just to get the one from the bonus objective.

The second reason getting these mats from officers is better is when you do the gaiden missions, regular officers will drop the extremely rare materials straight on the ground and that means you get 2 of them with serendipity chi (EQUIP THIS AS SOON AS YOU GET IT AND ALWAYS LEAVE IT ON- TRUST ME, EVEN WHEN RUSHING THE SECOND AND THIRD CAMPAIGN. The only time I would EVER take off serendipity is to defeat death phoenix and co. safely with seal resist, iron armor+(or something... the chi that reduces melee dmg by a ton), mechastrike+, and dash++). Serendipity makes every item you pick up double. Pick up a mystic blade(l)? Serendipity makes it 2 for one. This not only helps build up materials to build weapons, orbs, and complete chi recipes, but will give you an overabundance of materials which you can sell. I tend to sell piles of things once they stack up over 30- this can get you a lot of money, which is a major limiting factor in finishing the orbs, weapons, and chi achievements. The other key, once you get to those enemies in the gaiden missions, is to have the highest luck orb in one slot of your weapon, giving you the best chance for rare drops from them and coupled with serendipity I had a pile of 40 sky gifts by the time I was done clearing all the stages. For some perspective, some people are desperate to figure out to get even -1- of these. :p

Long and short: alywas keep serendipity equipped, even in low level missions. You need to make ALL the weapons, chis, and orbs even the low level ones, so you'll need tons of materials for every level (thus my suggesstion of playing through all 3 campaigns). Once you get to the gaiden missions, socket the best luck orb you got in your weapon and reap the benefits. there are a LOT of gaiden missions. You won't believe how many there are.

good guide. the links are poor though. The best guide I've seen for finding anything in this game is here: http://s13.zetaboards.com/koeiwarriors/topic/6610856/1/

This will come very late in your progress as lots of materials are required and the 5-star Chi will require some rare materials that will require some grinding and luck. See Gameplay FAQ section below for material list/locations and hints on how to obtain.

You can track Chi Collection % by accessing the "Vault" option from the second City Menu.
