Kill 5000 Ticks Boom!

How to unlock the Tick Tock Ya Don't Stop achievement in Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon - Definitive Guide

Another place to work on this is the survival map cornerstone. You play the first three waves. Wave one is ants, wave two is ants and a bunch of ticks, and wave three is spiders and a bunch of ticks. There is a turret right by where you spawn allowing you to play through these waves relatively quickly. Restart after wave three ends.

Doing it this way will allow you to work on your total waves played in survival achievement as well as spider kills and survival kills.

I'll have to try that level, it might be quicker. I've been playing Survival on Double Whammy (6th map). The 1st wave is Ants, the 2nd Wave is Ants and Spiders, the 3rd wave is Ants, Spiders, and Ticks, and the 4th Wave is Ticks, Gunships, and Wasps. There is a tank right at the start point. So i've been jumping in the tank and it normally doesn't blow up until I reach the 4th Wave and after i've killed all the Ticks.

I still have a lot of levelling up to do on my battle character as i leveled up the another first and as you can't choose anything bar the trooper in survival, I choose the remix version wondering if I could level up faster with it and found that they add a lot of tickers to the campaign remix. The solution works so I can't fault it just wonder if by the time you have leveled up all 3 characters would you still need ticker kills.

Level 2-5 after u blow the 4 anthills, 2 Bomber Spiders and 2 Mantisis will come, should be faster because theres 2, just finish off the Mantisis and keep killing the ticks.

Defrosted Jay suggests "If you play as the battle class you can bring your shield up (LT) and turn on/ off the electric charge (Y) and that way you wont get over run and it saves aiming at the close ticks."

Ticks are the small annoying little enemies that chase you down and jump on your back. Shoot them before they get to you or you'll have to repeatedly press to get them off, only to still take damage. Accumulate a total of 5,000 tick kills across your playthroughs and modes. You earn these kills in both the story mode and survival mode.

Any of the maps in survival mode offer a great way to rack up kills. See Good Start for details on where certain enemies are located and in what map/wave. Waves 1 and 2 on the Cornerstone Survival map are perfect grind spots.

Ticks are found with the Bomber Spiders primarily, and will come out of its orange splooge shots. They are best killed with a quick-fire assault rifle, or the Battle Armor's lightning attack. If you don't have this after doing all other Campaign/Survival achievements, you can grind the remainder out on Chapter 2, Mission 5 which has two Bombers at the end with a ton of ticks coming out of them. Kill the two Mantises (Mantii?) and just let the Bombers keep spewing ticks. There are also about 50 on Map 1 (Cornerstone) in Survival Mode, Wave 2.
