EARTHLOCK

The Talent Boards are basically the game's version of skill trees. There are a few set abilities inside each talent board, and the rest of the board is blank to start. When you fill in the blank tiles to touch the set ones, those skills/bonuses will activate (and you can swap them out for something else if you don't use them). There are three different types of slots, so you may need to wait for a drop or craft something depending on the slot you want to fill compared to when you actually earn the talent point to fill it.

Talent Points (TP) are gained once per level, though you also earn bonus TP from Level 1/3/5 of the Bonds you form with each character, so this will be where the majority of your points come from. You'll get enough Stat (round) and Ability (diamond) cards throughout the game to fill all those nodes, but the Perk (Jigsaw Piece) nodes will take some extra crafting to fill in. Refer to "Great Wave Alumni" for help with that.

The one character who can be a bit confusing in this task is Taika. Taika's ability cards will be earned by using his "Sixth Sense" ability on specific enemies to learn new attacks (whereas everyone else gets theirs from chests and/or bosses). These are as follows:

• Lightning - Sparktank
• Frost Bite - Barghest (Blue)
• Gust - Little Marvel (Blue)
• Quake - Crabler
