How to unlock the Indomitable Soul achievement in El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron - Definitive Guide

Achievement: Indomitable Soul

This is obtained by executing 50 rapid-recoveries. When fighting most enemies, if you lose all your armor and Enoch's eyes begin to close, you rapidly button-mash right and left bumper and x and a as fast as you can to recover fully and get back into the fight. Each time you do this it will be harder and harder to recover, until you cannot execute the rapid recover in time and you get a game over sending you back to your last auto-save.

Note: This count is totaled up across all saves, reloads, etc- it is not tied to one particular save file.

update: It doesnt count if you recover multiple times until you die for good and then continue and do the same area all over again. I did over 50 in a row in the same area and nothing popped. Then I went on and started new everytime I died for good and it popped a few retries after that.

The perfect spot to do this, is in Chapter 8 when you play as Armaros (difficulty doesn't matter, but you can do more recovers on Easy/Normal than Hard/Extra).

1) Just continue through the level as you would do normally until you reach the very first Lucifel save point (this would be after Gabriel asks you to jump down).

2) Next to Lucifel, just jump off the map until you are down to your last shred of health.

3) Then move forward till the 2 Wisps spawn and then touch them to start the Rapid-Recovery.

4) Repeat steps 2-3 (I repeated this till I had about 2-3 recoveries), then save at Lucifel.

5) Just back out to the main menu, reload this save and repeat steps 2-4 above.

This trophy will almost certainly come during your initial playthrough, but if for some reason it does not, all you need to do is fare badly in combat. Just make sure not to allow yourself to run out of recoveries and find yourself at a Game Over screen if you are trying for the "Living Miracle" trophy.
