How to unlock the Mined the Gap achievement in Enslaved: Odyssey to the West - Definitive Guide

There are a lot of mines in chapter 2 and several opportunities to do this. When fighting a mech near mines, position yourself so the mech's back is to the mines. Then use the Wide Swing (A+X) to knock it back. Keep knocking it back until it enters the mine area and explodes (harmless to you, and the mine doesn't go away). If fighting multiple mechs, repeat for fun, profit and easy victory.

Chapter 2 is a good place to get this. In the area with the broken bridge you'll come across a single much. Your stun attack (where you charge your staff) knocks back enemies.

This trophy can be easily gotten in Chapter 2, when you’re at the part where you have to tread through a mine infested area a second time. There will be a lone Mech that you'll face as you make your way. Instead of defeating him, use this time to use a Swipe Attack + to knock him back into a mine. The swipe attack doesn't do any damage, so just spam it till you get it.

In the middle of the second chapter there will be a skirmish with an enemy on a large minefield, use + to push the enemy onto a mine.
