During the first round in a game of Dino Survival, where you're moving from point-to-point and taking out waves of dinosaurs, one of these waves will spawn a larger "boss" dinosaur that'll take more damage to defeat.

The dinosaur that spawns is random, as far as I can tell. In the early game at least, you will encounter either a Triceratops or a Carnotaurus.

While they're higher health than the regular raptors that attack you, in the game's current state, there aren't really any specific tactics to taking them down with an entire team of 5 (even of randoms) so just button mash your attacks or spam gunfire into them (and use your damaging abilities) and they'll drop in no time at all.

When you defeat your first Triceratops, you'll pop this achievement.

In this guide we will show you how to take down a Triceratops in Exoprimal and earn the “Shield Slayer” Achievement/Trophy.

In Capcom's Exoprimal you duel against various prehistoric beasts, such as Triceratops, one of the largest dinosaurs of the Ceratopsidae family, which lived during the late Cretaceous period.

Triceratops may be a herbivorous dinosaur, but it is a particularly dangerous opponent and should not be underestimated. However, his behavior is quite predictable, which gives you a significant strategic advantage.

At the start of the battle, Triceratops charges at you, so one of the Tanks on your team should draw the aggro. Alternatively, you can deploy a Shield to block his attack. In the video, we use both tactics, first deploying a Shield to protect our allies, and then entering the front line with Murasame, using the “Vajra Counter” skill.

The secret to defeating a Triceratops quickly is to attack its back, so after each of its charges you should move behind it and hit its tail. If you are the only Tank on your team, then you should block his charges and let your teammates finish him off. If you're controlling Murasame like we are, you have the ability to defend and then counterattack very quickly.

Once you kill the first Triceratops you will earn the “Shield Slayer” Achievement/Trophy.
