Of all the achievements in this game, this one was the hardest. You have to get specific upgrades for the weapons to be able to do some of the combos. It is pretty straight forward and frustrating at times as the timing always felt off. For me it came down to muscle memory and switching weapons soon enough. For example, 3 punches then switch to drill, do the switch as soon as the 3rd swing animation starts. Using LT/LB to swap weapons is more convenient than trying to use the D pad. A couple of the moves requires dash, however, if you have the dummy pinned to the wall, you do not have to dash to complete the step.

Definitely just your controller Lucy 👍🏾
To note, you probably don't have to do the weapon trainings. The achievement popped for me as soon asI had finished the Master training and I still have the Whip training left to do.

I used elite controller extra sticks to map "up - left - right", this made switching weapons much easier :)

Advanced training took me the most time, but the mastery took me about 5 mins. Using D-PAD did it for me, much easier to navigate.

i almost drop the completion for this BS achievement. If you can pass advanced training, the last tier is manageable.

I can confirm you only have to the 4 non-weapon specific trainings (basic, intermediate, advanced, and master). I didn't touch the 3 weapon specific trainings and still got the achievement.
For the advanced and master training, using the d-pad to switch weapons worked best for me, as well as what OP suggested about pinning the dummy on the left side to avoid having to use dash for the trainings that used it.

If you know her, ask Mary Jane for help with this. The difference was phenomenal. I was planning to use the wall trick to avoid dashing, but I didn't need to.

It’s true, you don’t have to do the weapon specific training for this achievement. However, if you’re going for completion you’ll need to do them anyways, bc the weapon skills you need to purchase are locked behind the training.

I positioned the dummy on the ground just before the ledge and it helped tremendously for not having to dash on those specific parts....

This achievement is a joke.
This achievement is a punishment.
I mean, it seems for the developers of the game, the difficulty of this it wasn't enough. Oh no no no.
If you can't get this achievement you can't get four more.

Not mashing and early switching weapons is key. Always read the combo description carefully because you may only need to "switch up". LB goes in this order: fist>drill>whip then fist again. If the combo follows this order (it doesn't matter where does it start!) you don't need to think about what to press on the D-Pad. Just LB every time there is a weapon switch icon.

just popping in to say this blows really really hard

I finally got this and will say while it’s a pain, I don’t think it took more than an hour to do all of these. I actually found the final challenge for the Master rank the easiest - got it in 2 tries personally.
I actually disagree when people say “don’t button mash” - if you wait too long it “breaks” the combo so I found pressing the buttons well before the prior hit landed was the best way to go about it.
Like Edward said, learning the order is the most important part. I found dpad easiest and in my head would would think “left, right, up” as part of the list to get used to it.
This is tricky and relatively time consuming but with a bit of patience it’s absolutely doable. I honestly felt really satisfied when I finished as well because I actually had to work for it. Good luck.

Didn't find it too bad to be honest. Biggest tip I could give is to focus on the move list rather than your character. Also, don't move the joystick right or left when doing the combos, I failed a fair few that way.

This achievement was definitely a pain but certainly doable. It’s all about being patient and getting the timing down. I really struggled with the first advanced training but once I got that done I was able to knock out the rest in about 45 minutes. I think using the D Pad to change weapons is definitely the way to go for most of the training. There is one exception where LB is better since the weapons go in order. Also one other tip on some of the Master training, when it calls for a dash and weapon switch be sure to dash first and then switch.

Do you have to do all combos in one set at the same time; i.e. can I do just two master combos and then come back later to do the other two or is progress reset?
By Anders1983 on 30 May 2024 18:50
To answer Anders question in case anybody else wonders, I did too.
Yes, you can't just do part 1/4 and come back later. You have to do all of them at once, so make sure you have time if Advanced and Master ends up taking you a while. They also require some of the later moves, so pay attention to the text he gives you if you don't have all moves unlocked. Don't want to do a couple of stages to find out it's impossible for you to finish it.

I just done this but I noticed sometimes on the last combo if I switched weapon using LT or LB most of the time it will switch twice especially on the master training
Maybe it was my controller just being a nightmare
But I ended up just using the D-pad
By lucylu1983 on 03 Jul 2023 19:46
I cannot do the second part of the intermediate combo. The last part with X (mid-air), X (mid-air), switch to drill, X (mid-air). It always does three hits with the fist before switching to the drill even though I'm dead certain I'm only hitting X twice. Breaks the combo every time.
By JohnnieMonkey on 04 Jul 2023 10:27
Wish I'd known dash wasn't needed if the dummy was pinned; I thought that was part of the combo, so I kept screwing up there.
Finally got it. One tip is to not rush while learning the combo order; it's easier to get right if you're not getting frantic because of the timing, especially on those mid-air ones.
As others have said, the timing/switching is a pain. I tried using the LB/LT to switch weapons, but it doesn't feel intuitive, and I kept making it cycle the wrong way. With the D-Pad, I sometimes got the wrong weapon or reselected the fist when I needed drill.
The final one involves the whip, and those seemed to be the easiest for me. There's a bit of breathing room on timing for those combos.

Only the Advanced and Master training were tough I felt, oddly the Master training was easier than the Advanced, but that could also just me getting better through practising all the training beforehand.
I also found using the D-Pad on the Master training to switch weapons was easier than trying to remember if it was LB or LT to switch to the right weapon. You can get through most of the combos without even moving with the left stick as the attack combos will move you to right where you need to be, so you can focus on the D-Pad only to switch weapons.
