Once you've got that done click on an 'Available Slot' and add an AI Driver set to Legend difficulty. Do the same till the grid is full.
Once a second human driver enters (or a third even) start the races.
Choose 'Go to Race', ignore all setup options.

Driving Strategy:
------------------------
Cut the first corners by driving through the pit exit. (if you're 2nd on the grid you don't even have to steer into the pit exit)
Cut the first chicane.
Drive the second chicane normally.
Cut the third chicane.
Drive the hairpin normally.
Cut the final chicane, stay on the left and avoid the kerbs.

Map of where to go:

On average you will earn at least 1500 XP per race, and each race including loading times takes about 3 minutes. Doing the 19 races takes almost an hour, and my hourly average is about 40,000 XP. The higher the rank of all drivers involved, the more XP you get, so as you level up you'll level up faster in future.

You mentioned to "ignore all setup options". I've been wondering if they actually load when cars are set to "equal".

Are we sure there isn't a faster way than this? When I look on the leaderboard, there are players on par with my XP but they have less wins :S. Do you get more XP for having more human players??

Higher rank drivers do not give you extra XP. Just tested this with another account. My main account (lvl 46) was beaten by a level 6 account, XP gained was still only 1,820, which is no different to my main beating a lvl 6 account.

Just gotten this by double boxing. Enabled crash damage but no collisions so that my dummy account could have RT rubber-banded and it would just crash out in every race. All AI set to legendary and get 1820 per race win

I timed each race from lights out/race start to lights out/race start (so inc loading times etc) and it took just under 2m40s (so just under 160s)

-1 million points at 1820 per race is 550 races
-550 races at 160s each is 88,000s (or just under 24.5 hours)

To get to level 50 in the online world of F1 2010 you need to have 1,000,000 experience points.

You can get experience points by simply racing online, even if you do not win. Obviously, the better you race, the more you gain. Also, the more people in a race, the more points you gain! It seems you also get more experience points for completing clean laps.

You can actually 'boost' this with a friend, try to get into a lobby where there is only the two of you, so you will be 1st and 2nd and get a decent amount of experience points. [ I do not suggest this, this will take a lot more time ]

Any way you select to go for this achievement is a grind.

Good luck!

[ Just so you guys know, many people out there seem to be racing as if F1 were Destruction Derby, freaking idiots. ]

Around how much XP do you get per race?
0
0
By Zavistic on 08 Oct 2010 13:55
That depends on your result, the way you drive (flawless laps) and the amount of drivers there are. I managed to get ~5,000 experience points after 2 races, but I've also had races with 3 people, won them and only received like 300 experience points, it depends a lot.

After selecting to go race on xbox live you can select between quick game, custom game, and there you see leaderboards. The first page you see your rank in the world, the page on the right shows your rank and the rank of your friends.

Is there any way we could get codemasters to give us like an xp boost cuz it's getting tedious ranking up so slowly feel like I've been at lvl 31 forever plus there's only so much times I can put up with being shunted off at the beginning of races by complete morons, race for real and if the guy(s)/girl(s) beating you just accept their better than you. End of. I'm always game for a race if those of you who drove fairly set up a session I'll be happy to join in.

Got this achievement in around 100 hours of game play. Never again am I going to go online with this at times it was just utter rubbish with everyone ramming you off the track and I also noticed in some cases I would be kicked out of lobbies because I was the highest ranked player in it. If I stayed and made the start of the race, I would be the target for everyone to smash into me and I really didn't understand why as I was just racing like everyone else. Even got accused of hacking once when I won 15 races back to back in sprint and everyone was complaining and I was kicked from that session. A lot of sore losers online I found, was ranked 40 on the leader board at the time I got this but since then its all been messed up and now im down at the 600 area. Rather strange,.... I managed to get 429 wins from the chaos on my way to the big 50.

May want to add the following to the list to clarify it for people;

With only TWO people, your XP gained will be; 1,820 for a win, 1,470 for second place, 1,120 for third place. XP does seem to increase with more people, from previous sessions I can confirm this, unsure of exact amounts.

For those considering racing with NO AI, don't bother, With no AI in the race, you will only gain 520 XP. With 12 AI in the race but set to amateur, you will gain 1,039 XP per win. You will only gain 1,820 with AI on Legendary (they are not quick at all).

If you also want to increase the laps you race, there is no point. Increasing the laps to 3 (cannot do 2 laps) will only increase the XP by 105, doing this will also increase the amount of time per race by over 2 mins, it's not worth it.

Doing a full 19 race championship will take around 55 mins. As doing the same race over and over can get boring, you can spice it up with; Montreal, Monza or Interlagos, all are very short tracks, around 1m10 a lap on each.

Keep it up, and you will get the achievement. I didn't want to boost F1, but F1 2011 is too close to play this legit.

By far the best way to boost is you and a friend in a custom Grand Prix. Then you click on the 'available space' underneath yours and your friends gamertags and fill the rest of the slots with legend AI.
Here is the things you want on.
Session scoring : Championship
Participation : Race only
Race Distance : 1 lap
Starting Grid : Results order
Car assignment: Players choice
Weather : Clear
Track Selection : Montreal. (as many races as you want)
RULES AND FLAGS : OFF -- IMPORTANT!!!!
Tyre wear : off
Fuel load simulation : off
Car damage : off
Car performance : 2010
Collisions : off

Now you just cut all the corners you can to make sure you win. Take it in turns with your partner to win. You will not get penalised for cutting corners because Rules and flags is off. You get roughly 1500 xp per race, which takes roughly 2 mins including loading times.

How I did it SOLO. Nov-20-2012.

What you will need is a second xbox, second copy of the game and a rubber band.

Set up your game just as others have recommended above, with this addition:
Make sure you have:
FULL DAMAGE ON.
FULL COLLISIONS ON.

At the start of the first race rubber-band down your second cars RT button. This will make it start and crash into the barrier past the pit lane every race.

All you have to do is keep winning with your main GAMERTAG.

I didn't even have to look at my second controller. You can (ready it up) without removing the rubber-band and just press 'A' 3 times at the end of each race.

This method will take several hundred wins.
My second gamertag was rank 8.

Special Thanks to GAMERTAG: Msross.

This is obtained by gaining 1,000,000 XP.

The online levels can be boosted if you do not enjoy racing competitively. XP is awarded for the following:

Qualifying

  • Completing flying laps.
  • Qualifying in the top 3.
Races
  • Finishing in the top 10.
  • Completing a lap without incident (no crashes).
  • Completing a lap.

To set up a boosting match, go to multiplayer and create a session. Set it to private and invite your friend. You can change all of the simulation settings and alter the race distance. The quickest way to boost, is to set up a 19 race season (all at Montreal), one lap, ten legendary AI, collisions and flags off. Take turns winning, making sure to finish 1-2. Cut corners to make it easier. You should be able to get 30,000-31,000 XP per hour following this method.

You can check your total XP on the leaderboard.

Head to the achievement trading thread (here) to find a boosting partner.

For this you need to reach level 50 online. You'll need 1,000,000xp for this and it will take a while. Here is a description of how XP is earned:

"Whenever you race online you will gain Online Experience which contributes towards your Online Rank. Online Rank showcases your skills and sets you apart from other online players, it also allows you to custom filter rooms by driving ability showing who’s got the most experience and expertise behind the wheel.

You can earn Online Experience in Qualifying sessions by completing flying laps or finishing within the top 3. In the Race your XP can be earned by finishing within the top 10, completing a lap without incident and per lap if you finish the race. Be aware, if you do not finish the race, or are disqualified, all of the XP earned will be declared void."

General Online Tips:

  • Having a good knowledge of the tracks helps a lot. Playing through a full season in career mode at least once would be beneficial.
  • Having a good custom set-up for most tracks also helps.
  • Try not to give up when near the back. You can always make up places as a lot of people make mistakes or get penalties etc.
  • Beware of the first corner. If you are on pole on most tracks you will get rammed. So try and get round the first corner as quickly as possible. If you are near the back be careful and navigate through the almost inevitable crash.
  • You can earn xp in private races with friends.

You can also boost using the dedicated booting thread located Here.
