How to unlock the Seeking performance achievement in F1 2010 - Definitive Guide

R&D Objectives are given to you every couple of races or so. If you complete them you will receive an upgrade to your car.

Now to get the achievement you must go to 'Engineer' whilst in your pit garage and then select 'R&D Test/Objective' In EVERY practice session for the one race. For example, if you are doing long race weekend you must complete the R&D Test on all 3 practice sessions to receive the achievement and the upgrade.
If you are doing short weekend you do not need to worry about this because there is only 1 practice session.

If an R&D objective is available it can be found by your race engineer, these are only ever found on practice sessions, so its worth checking if one is available before skipping ahead to qualifying.

if one is available, select the R&D objective, and not 'begin practice' the lap time it asks you to beat should be easily achieveable

Also note if you're running a long weekend (3 practices, 3 Qualification, Race) you must complete all 3 practice sessions in a row (ie. select continue when the session is over) for this to pop. Exiting and continuing later does not unlock.

In career, every 2-3 races your engineer will say that there are new upgrades that need to be tested. When you hear this, look at your engineer (to the right) and select him. You will see an option called "R&D test". Choose to accept the task.

Out on the track, you will have a lap time to beat within a specific amount of laps. Successfully complete this task and the achievement will unlock.
