I've missed the one for energy weapons, too.
But i've a savegame just before Raven Rock. If I would load that savegame and collect the bobblehead, would it count towards the achievement?

i missed a different bobblehead on each of my first two characters. i finally decided to start a new character with the sole purpose of getting this achievement. took me just over 9.5 hrs to complete. so that is what you can expect to face if you have to start fresh on this one. good luck.

Bobbleheads do not roll over! You must get all 20 in one save game.

Negative Vote though, here's things to change:

-Note the missable bobbleheads
-Note that they must all be obtained on one save and do not transfer over
-Change Yoo Guai to Yao Guai

Basically copied and pasted from somewhere doesn't include any useful information on getting to them bobble-heads. Miss able bobble-heads should be noted as well. I vote negatively in the hopes that a better guide gets the top spot.

Fair enough. I can see where you are coming from, and for the record, I agree with you. I never said it isn't important. I just don't think it warrants a downvote, and it certainly doesn't warrant any spiteful comments. It's no secret that the solution process as a whole is flawed. Too much room for things that shouldn't be a factor, like how it is often a who's who popularity contest, or how some people vote their friends up, whether or not the solution is any good, just to name a couple of examples.

I wish it were possible to edit my own comments for spelling and grammar like you can with posts...

Thanks for the debate and not just spitting back with trash talk!

I'm with you there that spiteful comments do not help at all.

I have written hundreds of solutions myself and when people put in suggestions or add tidbits of info, I always add them into my solution if they are correct and that is where my resentment comes from as far as not updating the solution with suggested info.

In this case though its fairly obvious that he will never update anything he has done, as he has not visited the site in over a year.

So what? It's a perfectly viable solution. All of the info necessary to get the achievement is there. What is there to maintain or update? All of the locations are listed. If somebody misses one, I'd have to say it's on them, not the writer of the solution. Do people really need the writer to hold their hand while they play? Maybe he should join everyone who looks at this solution in Party chat so he can guide them with more precision. Or, better yet, maybe he should stop by the homes of everyone who looks at this solution, so that he can play the game for them, ensuring that they find all of the bobble-heads. Come on, get over yourselves. +1 from me.

A *missable* tag does not take much work to type next to that certain bobblehead. The point of a solution is to give as much info as possible and to make it as easy as possible. Adding a few simple words would make this solution shine much more.

What if I went through Raven Rock already, and then started looking for Bobble heads (which I did) and gathered all the others per this solution, and then found out I can't go back to Raven Rock, so I just wasted a bunch of time collecting the others.

If he would have had that *missable* tag it would have saved me hours of time.

So, yes, its important to some people.

Here is a list of bobbleheads that may become unobtainable and how to avoid that happening. All other bobbleheads can be obtained at any point in your playthrough, including after completing every available mission.

Medicine - on your father's desk in vault 101

Energy weapons - inside Raven Rock

Strength - Lucas Simms' house in Megaton

Repair - Evan King's house in Arefu

I hope this prevents some achievement hunting disaster for some people :)

If you've encountered any other problems like these, please comment below so I can add them to the guide :)

Just wan't to point out, "or destroy it using the weapons sattelite from the "broken steel" DLC"
You can't destroy megaton like that, you can only destroy the Citadel or the mobile platform on adams air force base, if you try to take Megaton, Project purity or rivet city it will say: Satellite not in proper orbit path.

so you cannot destroy megaton like that.

Guys if you don't respond to the Vault 101 distress signal and still don't have the medicine bobblehead after a while the signal will stop and you will be locked out. Learned the hard way :(

zeldafanjtl, I can confirm there is a roof entrance. I just used it a couple of weeks ago to get the Bobblehead. I never pickpocketed Simms or picked the lock. You have to move a barrel then hop on a railing, then to the barrel and onto the roof and there's a hatch.

Can you actually access Lucas Simms' house from the roof? I did some quick googling and people say elsewhere it's not possible. I pickpocketed the key from him and I don't see a roof door anywhere inside the house.

Hello everyone, today I will be showing you guys where to find all the Bobbleheads located in Fallout 3.

There are 20 Bobbleheads that need to be collected in Total. 4 of these Are missable, which means that if you miss them you would have to redo an entire playthough just to get them again so make note of which are missable!

These are the 4 bobbleheads that should be noted:

1. Medicine - On your father's desk in Vault 101
Make sure you pick this one up as soon as you can, If you've missed it fear not, you have 1 more chance to get this one by doing the quest ''Trouble on the Homefront''

2.Energy Weapons - Inside Raven Rock
Make sure you pick this Bobblehead up BEFORE leaving Raven rock. The bobblehead can be found in the room on the left of the quest marker located at the end.

3. Strength - Lucas simms house in megaton
Make sure you pick up the bobblehead located inside Lucas simms' house. To get in either pick the lock, or either kill/pickpocket mr simms for the key.

4. Repair - Evan King's house in Arefu
Can become unobtainable if tried to force lockpick his house and fail, breaking the lock.
Please note that the infiltrator perk if chosen, can give you one more, final attempt at getting it.

As for the normal bobbleheads they are as following:

5. Sneak - Can be found in the Yao Guai Tunnels in the Yao Guai Den.

6. Unarmed - Located in Rockopolis.

7. Luck - inside Arlington House

8. Science - Can be found in Vault 106 below in the Living Quarters.

9. Small Guns - National Guard Depot, In the National Guard Depot Armory

10. Agility - Greener Postures Disposal Site Building

11. Endurance - Deathclaw Sanctuary (Reccomended: Have A Stealth boy to make this easier, they deathclaws can easily kill you in there!)

12. Explosives - Outside WKML Broadcast Station, In the sealed cistern

13. Perception - The Republic of Dave, located in the back building the Museum of Dave

14. Bazaar Big Guns - Outside Fort Constantine

15. Speech -Paradise Falls inside Eulogy's Pad

16. Lockpick - Bethesda Ruins, inside Bethesda offices east

17. Melee Weapons - Dunwich Building in the Virulent Underchambers

18. Charisma - Vault 108 downbelow in the Cloning Lab

19. Intelligence - Rivet City inside the Science Lab

20. Barter - Can be found inside Evergreen Mills

Down below I have added a few video's showing you the locations.

Happy hunting!

Highly Missable!

This is an example of what a Bobblehead looks like:

The following Bobbleheads are easily missed:

- Raven Rock: You only get one chance to enter Raven Rock and that is during the main story Quest "The American Dream". If you don't get it when you're in Raven Rock then there is no chance of getting it again without starting a new game or loading an earlier save.

- Vault 101: You have 3 chances to get this trophy: One at the very beginning of the game during the "Growing Up Fast" Quest, another during the "Escape!" Quest and finally during the "Trouble on the Homefront" Side Quest.

- Megaton: The one in Lucas Simms' house is missable if you decide to blow up Megaton or don't increase your Lockpick Skill to a high enough level to be able to pick lock on his front door.

If you don't have the Broken Steel DLC installed then all the other Bobbleheads can be gotten at anytime before the main Quest "Take it Back!" but if you do have it installed, then you can get them anytime you want.

You only need to pick up the Bobbleheads for them to count, you don't need to use the display stand in your house. See here for a written location guide of all the Bobbleheads in the Main Game: LINK (credit to the Fallout Wiki for the link). Here's another written guide (the info you want is in the bottom half of the post): LINK (credit to iron_granny69). Also see here for an interactive map: LINK (credit to zazoum for this). To enable the Bobblehead locations Guide within the interactive map, go the Items menu then click on both the S.P.E.C.I.A.L and Skills buttons then position your mouse/trackpad cursor over the highlighted Bobblehead location's name plate to reveal a mini-map showing where it is.

Video Guide:

(Credit to Flying Orc for the video. Although these are for the Xbox 360 version, the info is still valid).

This trophy will pop once you collect your 20th Bobblehead.

Notes:

  • This trophy is another potential slow popper so don't be worried if it doesn't pop for 5-10secs.
  • The easiest way to check your progress towards this is via the Bobblehead stand in your Megaton/Tenpenny Tower Home/apartment and cross reference them with the above video and text Guides.
  • The Bobbleheads you gain from the vision sequence in the Point Lookout DLC do not count towards the Bobblehead Trophies because they don't actually exist.
  • Bobbleheads have no weight so you don't have to worry about becoming overencumbered.

The locations of all 20 bobbleheads can be found here. I have mentioned above in certain achievements/quests the two that can be missed. The other 18 can be obtained at any point in the game, unless you blow up Megaton which I also mentioned above.

Note for PC Users: Again, to save you a lot of time and searching, use the command "player.placeatme 38832 X" to spawn a number of bobbleheads on the ground around you, X being the amount. This will spawn the exact same one but it doesn't matter for the achievement. You don't have to collect all 20 different ones, just 20 total.

There are 20 bobbleheads in total:
Bobblehead - Strength: Found in Megaton in the house of Lucas Simms (Sheriff) on the table in the bedroom. His house is on the right after entering Megaton. Get it before you blow up Megaton, if that's what you're going to do, of course. Location on the map.

Bobblehead - Perception : Found in Dave's Republic. Dave's Museum is on the bookshelf on the right side of the room.
Bobblehead - Endurance : Found in Deathclaw Hideout. Near the entrance on a table not far from the rotting corpse of a Brahmin.
Bobblehead - Charisma : Found in Vault 108. Cloning Lab, on a table in a room with many beds and a copy of the book "Lies: A Primer for a Congressman."
Bobblehead - Intelligence : Rivet City - Scientific Laboratory. On one of the tables in the center of the laboratory. The Science Laboratory can be accessed through the Middle Deck.
Bobblehead - Agility : Griner Pastures Landfill - Service Room.
Bobblehead - Luck : Arlington Cemetery - North, Arlington House, on a shelf in the basement.
Bobblehead - Barter : Evergreen Mills - Evergreen Mills Bazaar - In a dark grotto-burrow, in the corner of the room to the right of Smile Jack (the merchant). Jump over the workbench, the bobblehead is on the right shelf.
Bobblehead - Heavy weapons : Fort Constantine - Command residence (small bungalow), in the basement.
Bobblehead - Energy Weapon : Raven Rock - On the right table in Colonel Autumn's bedroom: after passing the large door from Sector 2B to Sector 2C, where two Enclave soldiers come out of the right door, turn left. Take it before you leave the Enclave base - it will be impossible to return there!
Bobblehead - Explosives : WKML Broadcasting Station - Sealed tank, drainage chamber (manhole) behind the station. The entrance is hidden among the stones.
Bobblehead - Hack : Bethesda Ruins - Bethesda Offices - East, on the table with the lamp on.
Bobblehead - Medicine : Vault 101 - Dad's table (medical table). It can be collected when passing the K.O.Z.A. exam, escaping from the Vault, or returning to Vault 101 during the quest Trouble on the Home Front.
Bobblehead - Dunwich Building Melee Weapons - Poisoned Dungeons, in the center of the room next to the exit from the Dunwich Building.
Bobblehead - Repair : Arefu - Evan King's House (requires Hacking 50+, karma is removed). After entering, look left. It stands on a white table.
Bobblehead - Science : Vault 106 - Living rooms, on a shelf in the easternmost room.
Bobblehead - Light Weapons : National Guard Base - National Guard Armory, sitting on a rack in a locked vault in the basement. The switch that opens the door to the armory is located on the 3rd floor, which can only be reached by going through the Base - Training Center and Base - Offices.
Bobblehead - Stealth : Yao-Gui Tunnels - Yao-Gui Lair, on top of a metal box north of the large pool of water.
Bobblehead - Speech : Paradise Falls - Undertaker's Den, on the table behind the terminal.
Bobblehead - Unarmed : Rockopolis - In the mountains west of Casey Smith's Garage and north of Herdershade. The entrance is decorated with multi-colored flags. The baby doll lies behind Argyle's body.
