Difficulty: EASY TASK - Time: MINUTES (15-20)

All you have to do to get this trophy is to install your first gold rated manager. To be gold rated, a manager must have an overall rating of 75 or above. There are two ways to get a gold rated manager:

- Buy a gold card pack and hope you strike lucky and get one.
- Head onto the trading section and try to buy one.

Gold packs can be bought for 5000 coins in game currency, or for a real world fee of 99c in the Playstation Store. You can only purchase a gold pack once you have played 12 matches in Ultimate Team mode. Warning: you can buy multiple packs without hitting on a gold manager.

Trading for a gold manager is quicker, cheaper and generally a better bet. Tweak the search to look for a gold manager for a maximum price of 150 coins.
The cards nearest to finishing their auction times will come up first. From here there are two methods that work really well: Spread-Betting and Card-Sniping.

Spread-Betting: Basically, spread your coins around by taking a punt on several cards. Bet the minimum, preferably 150 coins. If you get lucky, you will pick one or more cards up for a steal.

Card-Sniping: Find a card which is minutes from finishing its auction, and has a low bid or even no bid at all. Wait for the clock to tick down and with about two seconds left, bid on the card. There are usually a few others who will try this at the same time. So to increase your odds, increase your margin up. If the current bid is 150, bump it up to 300 or 350 instead of 200. With a little patience, you can easily pick up a manager on the cheap.

As soon as you put a gold manager in your team the trophy will unlock.
