How to unlock the The Slash to End All Slashes achievement in FINAL FANTASY VII - Definitive Guide

This is super easy on disc 3. By this time you should have high level characters buffed up with HP and MP plus materia and at least 1 Ribbon - this is really handy.

You only need about 100 GP which you can purchase from a guy who appears randomly at the train station in the back (behind the save point) Just keep going in and out of the screen until he appears. At this stage, money shouldn't be a problem. Using the in-game cheats, enter the battle with "Battle boost" enabled (press the right analog stick to toggle it). This constantly fills your HP and MP, but more importantly, gives you unlimited Limit breaks, making these fights a walkover.

I used cloud with level 3 limit break Metorian. I got 3000+ BP by spamming the limit break and had enough to buy Omnislash after about 6 or 7 battles.

I'm baffled how this solution doesn't have more likes. It is perfect. Using this (combined with the 3x speed, press left analog stick), I got Omnislash in less than 10 minutes and that was with losing two battles on last enemy.
Thanks!

Jeez, that's really unlucky. I never got a Tonberry during any of my battles. Mostly Dragon and Ghost ship. Make sure you are spamming the Limit Break the second the next round begins, as Limit breaks should always override an enemies attack or turn, so you want to get in there quick. Try and stop the slot on something like yellow or red materia, or something that is useless or won't hinder you much. Not easy as it spins fast. Make sure you have HP Plus materia equipped to have 9999 HP. Again, spam the attack button, don't give enemy time to attack.

I think the site WT just suggests this arena at an awful point in the game. I'm going to ignore it until I've done everything else. It's not like Omnislash is needed to beat the rest of the game.

I just want to say that the variables for how much you win from a complete set of battles isn’t just 3-10K. I won one where I only got…82BP. I recorded a clip and the final fight was against the plant monster thing - granted all my slots were either lucky 7 or cures with only one negative ailment (time; negated by the power boost refilling health).

Now this was after I got omnislash and I was using it to clean up to the W-Summon reward at 64K but can you imagine if you won a particularly difficult one without these boosts we can use today? What an absolute crap reward. On the flip side the best I managed was 11672 battle points 🤷🏻‍♂️

Are you people playing a different game or something? This is giving me so much grief it's unbelievable.

Infinite limit break does absolutely nothing if you hit one of the myriad slot results that just end your run.

Enemy Tonberry? Run dead (This has happened to me 5 times so far)
Slot breaks your gear? Run dead as soon as something perma CCs you
-10 level twice? Run not dead, but you now hit for 400, making a Tonberry an even more guaranteed run death.

I've yet to actually have a run get past 6 wins, and if it ends by death you get 0 BP. This is with Cloud at level 45 which is supposedly overlevelled for this point, and with limit break Meteorain as mentioned.

This arena is 100% RNG. Absolutely atrocious.

EDIT: Here's some more!
Half health? Run dead if you meet the blue dragon
Ghost Ship the final boss? Run dead unless you 1 shot him. Fuck you if you had any -Levels earlier!

Clouds 4th limit can be super time consuming.

The first chance to obtain this is on your first visit to the Gold Saucer "on disc 1". I recommend to do this later "on disc 3".

You have to battle in the battle square inside the Gold Saucer and get 32.000 battle points to buy his limit. If you battle "on disc 1" you need to get 52.000 points. This can be ridiculous hard. In regular you don't have good gear nor enough money and also no Gold Saucer Points (GP) at this point in the game.

ATTENTION NEVER LEAVE THE BATTLE SQUARE OR ALL HARD EARNED POINTS ARE LOST!

The point what makes this time consuming, you need 10GP (Gold Saucer points) to battle. For each battle you can get around 3000-10.000 Battle Points. And if fail a battle for this fight you get 0. There are many ways to obtain GP. The Easiest is to "buy" them. Sometimes there is a guy on this spot at the Gold Saucer.
External image
If not just leave and come back again. Here you can buy up to 100GP with 10.000Gil. I highly recommend to rack up 1000GP for 100 battles.

After you have enough GP you can go battle. The battle mechanics are more ore minor complex but what we do we use the "cheats". I used any weapon and any armor (no big differences) but what i recommend is a Ribbon as an accessory.

Up to this point you can have up to two ribbons.
One in the Temple of the Ancients: You reach a room with a giant Clock. Leave the Clock at 5 there is the ribbon.
The second one is in Gaea's Cliff: Here is a video for this ribbon
(Video Credit goes to LetsPlayGGs)

Sadly both are missable. If you miss both Ribbons you can Morph Master Tonberry in the Northern Crater into Ribbons.

In the battle square you have to fight up to 8 enemies. For each consecutive win you get more BP (battle points). The more the higher ( wink ). From round 3000 up to 10.000. That means 4 to 11 battles if you never lose.
But here is what it makes time consuming. After every battle you have a slot mechanik with a debuff. Broken Weapon, Broken Armor, Broken Accessory, Broken Materia of any or all colors, Lvl Down, HP/MP Down and so on. If your accessory is broken its often, without better gear and Materia, impossible to win. Just play again and again up to you 32.000 Battle points.

Buy the Omnislash by the mashines at the entrance and like all other characters finish all other Limits and use the item. Achievement done.

you get this in the battle arena at the Gold Saucer. you have to grind out battle arena by winning all eight battles of a single session. the more rounds of a session you go the more you'll get debuffed in some way. the best debuffs to be granted in order to maximize battle points is the all materia broken debuff which by itself leaves you able to do basic attacks, limit breaks and items. you can trigger this trophy as early as right after getting the Tiny Bronco in the Disc 1 content but if you don't want to grind for 512K or more to get the Omnislash wait until the Disc 2 content where it gets discounted by quite a bit. I recommend using Cloud with both of his level 3 limit breaks unlocked since both can one-shot enemies in battle arena and the moment you earn the Omnislash item you can immediately use it to have Cloud learn it. but if you get mini or toad as debuffs you're better off quitting the current session since either of those make your damage output only 1 damage point per attack.

In order to obtain the Omnislash Limit Break, you will need to amass a total of 51,200 BP at the Battle Square in the Gold Saucer after acquiring the Tiny Bronco, or 32,000 BP after acquiring the Highwind. Enter the Battle Square and pay 10 GP to begin a solo gauntlet of eight battles. After every successful battle, a slot will appear that will randomly apply a handicap onto your character going into the next battle, such as breaking your Materia, bestowing a status ailment on you, or reducing your stats.

The Battle Square can be attempted at any time, but it is best to wait until the end of the game, when your characters are much stronger and have powerful equipment and Materia. Choose your most powerful character to participate in the Battle Square, and equip him or her with a Ribbon (obtained from the Temple of the Ancients in Part 1), the best equipment possible, and mastered Restore Materia. With the Ribbon equipped, try to choose as many Frog or Mini options from the random slots as possible in order to get as much BP possible from winning.

Enabling God Mode renders this challenge moot, and will allow you to acquire Omnislash as early as Part 1.

After going through the Battle Square many times, you should have enough GP to buy Omnislash. Once you have obtained Omnislash, teach it to Cloud and you will obtain this trophy. Your work in the Battle Square should not be over by now, however, as it is highly recommended to amass another 64,000 BP in order to purchase the W-Summon Materia reward as well. Beware, however, that if you leave the Battle Square, you forfeit all your BP, so be sure to obtain the prize you want before leaving.

The Omnislash can be purchased from the Battle Square for a large amount of BP.

Cloud's Level 4 Limit Break Omnislash is obtained from the Battle Square in the Gold Saucer. You will need to amass either 51,200 BP (Battle Points) if you're attempting when it is first available (Page 19 of the Jegged walkthrough), or the total drops to only 32,000 BP if you attempt it after obtaining the Highwind airship (Page 29 of the Jegged walkthrough). I'd suggest the second option as the GP required to attempt the Battle Square is easier to obtain later in the game. You can simply buy it from a man at the entrance to the Gold Saucer rather than trying to win it in Wonder Square.

The Battle Square is a series of arena fights using a single character. Each round will apply a debuff to your character to make the next more difficult. You can check the link above for suggested setups to do this, or just use the Battle Enhancement booster to blast through it easily. Be sure to amass all your points in one trip and spend them - they do not get saved if you return later. I'd suggest having at least 100 GP on hand since you'll need to do the battles a few times to get enough points, and it costs 10 GP per attempt. Once you purchase the Omnislash item from the BP shop, use it to teach it Cloud and unlock the achievement.

Note: You must learn all of Cloud's Level 1-3 Limit Breaks before you can use the item that teaches his Level 4 skill. See here for how to unlock Cloud's Limit Breaks.

To get this limit, go to the Battle Arena in Gold Saucer and earn 64,000 points if you are on the first disk, or 32,000 points if you are on the second or third. Exchange reward points for Omnislash.
The trophy cannot be missed; it is obtained even after beating the game.

On the first disc, points earned in the Battle Arena were reset, not accumulated.... I don't know, maybe a glitch, but that's how it was.
