You can always go back and replay from the second or third scene... you may need to redo the pies, or victor, or carlos to get your three "monies" ... but it still works, after the fact.

I can confirm that missing this achievement has no bearing on EXPERT INVESTIGATOR. I did the two endings and deliberately missed the Big Spender achievement and got Expert Investigator just fine.

This is completed in Case 2. Pretty much everyone in this area needs your help with small tasks and will offer you money as a reward for helping them. Once you have earn 3 Money, speak with the Zebra. Use your 3 Money to buy the Photograph.
