How to unlock the Power of Human Ingenuity achievement in Front Mission Evolved - Definitive Guide

Hard difficulty is not terribly challenging. Anyone familiar with action games should be able to muddle through.

This achievement does stack with the other two "ending" achievements, so your initial playthrough might as well be on hard.

A few tips which may help on the occasional difficulty spike:

-As soon as you can, equip the repair backpack. Upgrade to the higher level repair backpack when it becomes available. Use liberally in and after battles to keep your health up and your limbs repaired.

-Scour the levels for listening posts, medals, and cash boxes. Finding these will give you milestone bonuses, which grant you cash bonuses. These will enable you to buy the best armour, weapons, and backpacks.

-Be sure to slot a skill to every weapon equipped. Those skills which boost damage are useful in nearly all situations, and will help you deal with the troublesome bosses faster.

-ALWAYS wait to activate E.D.G.E. until the power level is 75% or greater. If you wait until this power is 75%, your attack power will be greatly boosted. This will allow you to destroy even bosses very quickly.

Hard difficulty is a breeze as long as you keep upgrading your wanzer. Prioritize the body, since you can still fight with damaged legs and arms. And remember that, if you do get killed, restarting the checkpoint isn't your only option, you can go to customization first and prepare your wanzer, maybe with better weapons or part choices,

Don't get used to the melee weapons, they won't be option later on. Many enemies and some bosses are airborne or otherwise beyond your reach.

My loadout for most of the game was dual MGs and dual rockets. The rockets have tons of ammo for dealing with trash mobs of enemies, and they make short work of bosses when you activate EDGE and spam them.

Towards the end of the game, I augmented this with a repair backpack and became unstoppable. You can repair in the middle of combat, as long as your boost gauge is full.

Important: the enemy has repair units, as well. They're the Engineer Wanzers, and unless there's a Brawler right up in your face, the Engineer should always be your primary target, for fairly obvious reasons.

Complete all missions on hard difficulty. This trophy will stack with No Borders. Don't be concerned if you don't get this trophy at the same time as No Borders, it is awarded after the credits have finished.

The company is not very difficult, so start playing on this one on the highest difficulty. While you're at it, get this Power of Device trophy.

Difficulties may arise when passing the bosses of the game (the same robots, only more powerful).

My advice is this:

On each shoulder there are the most powerful homing missile launchers, in the left hand there is a shield, in the right hand there are devices for close combat. We cover ourselves with a shield and focus fire on 1 target. If the enemy comes close, we attack him hand-to-hand.

Don't forget about the EDGE system. A very useful thing.

As a rule, after carrying out their special attacks, bosses do not move or attack for several seconds. EDGE can be activated at this very moment and then unleash all the firepower on the enemy.

Strafe often and most importantly, remember where first aid kits appear and hang around that point. First aid kits appear a certain time after you pick them up. Therefore, the faster we take it, the faster they will appear again.

Another little hint. If you completed all the levels and were not given a trophy, then you probably forgot to complete the tutorial mission. Although it doesn’t depend on difficulty, you will have to go through it to get this trophy on Hard.
