How to unlock the Date With Doc achievement in Generator Rex: Agent of Providence - Definitive Guide

Most of these you will get by playing through the story and time trail. The hard to get ones (for me) were the eyebog, rhino, and quarry men. The best way to get these to appear was to get a combo of atleast 8 then use omega bad axes. This will make them appear more often. If they dont just reload a check and try again.

For quarry men I recommend the Hong Kong level, for rhinos and eyebogs I recommend the Abysus level.

i had a grind for rhinors and eyebogs!! i simply replayed the last level Abysus and played until the third rhinor then quit out to the hub and replayed the level - also to note if you kill an eye bog or rhinor and it doesnt drop simply reload checkpoint and it will after a try or two, however once you have got it you cannot keep farming the same one as it doesnt count until you back out to the hub and restart. luckily the first eyebog has a checkpoint of its own, theres a checkpoint for the 2 rhinor fight, then another checkpoint for an eyebog and a final checkpoint for a rhinor so you should be able to get 2 rhinor and 2 eyebog samples per playthrough of the level if you reload the checkpoints until they drop.

I found that if I used the sword and made sure to go through an entire 5 hit combo without getting hit, and then immediately activated the axes just after the downward swing (hit 5) that they dropped DNA every single time. I couldn't do it on the trees (stupid branches!) but it definitely worked on both Quarry's Minions and the Rhinos (wait until after the Rhino charges and it's easy)

Rhinors and Eye Bogs can also be found on Stage 6, Providence.

that site also appears to be right bout eye bogs. if i hit the roots 6 times before i use the axes i got 100% drop rate. not bad

(For eye bogs and rhinoceros) Abysus is way better. But for those who don't want to play that level, it can also be done on providence. It just takes 2 or 3 minutes longer to reach them (plus a long cutscene at the start.) and there isn't as many. Glad to be done with this low ratio time investment. Not a bad game though.

There are 10 different kinds of samples in the game and you need to collect them simply by beating the EVO related. You can access the stats of samples collected in each level by pressing the button and you will see your advances in that level.

There are 10 different kinds of samples in the game and you need to collect them simply by beating the EVO related. You can access the stats of samples collected in each level by pressing the button and you will see your advances in that level.

Here are the Chapters and the Samples found in each one:

  9. Abysus

EVO Samples & (Locations):

 

  • Canister Bot (3)

  • Quarry's Goon (5)
  • Sklugg (2,5,6,8,9)
  • Gnasht (2,5,6)
  • AMP (2,5,8,9)
  • Pyreptryx (5,9)

Almost all of them can be easily collected in your normal playthrough and in the challenges because they accumulative in all the game. The 3 hardest are the Canister Bot, the Rhinor and the Eye Bog. The best chapter to farm the Canister Bot is in the Jungle. For the Rhinor's samples it is in the 9th mission, once you beat them reach the checkpoint go to the hub and restart the level again.

The hardest sample by far is the Eye Bog samples. These are collected from the trees with their branches. You need to hit their branches and then kill the tree. The best chapter to farm them is in the last mission, Abysus. The tricky part here is that NOT ALWAYS will you receive a sample, so you need to beat it again selecting Restart Checkpoint and trying again and again OR, do what I did. Just keep hitting the branches 5-6 times and then kill the tree, when I did not receive a sample I continued to the next area and beat the second tree. Once I reached the checkpoint I reloaded the entire chapter and tried again.
