Besides normal progression the quickest way to do this is.
1. Start Trainig Mode
2. Boss 1 (not level 1)
Use Ghost Ship (or really any of the 3)
Skill Level Normal
Lives 10
Bombs 10
You have 99 seconds to kill the boss - which is way more time than you need.
Use all 10 bombs. (B button)
The first 9 will destroy the two side pieces.
After you use the 10th bomb - get hit on purpose and you will die.
When you respawn you will have 3 more bombs.
You will use 31 or 32 bombs per attempt. (I used 31. I just shot the boss' last bit of health rather than dying again and getting more bombs)
Rinse and repeat. Take you max 10 minutes.
Note: It does not seem to track on the side bar - but it does on smart glass and the achievement hub under bombs dropped.

If you have been stingy in your use of bombs, go into training mode and set your bombs to 10. Increase your lives if you so desire. Select one of the bosses and just bomb away to destroy the boss through the use of bombs. Rinse and repeat. Best to do it in Hard Mode. The bosses are more resilient, requiring more bombs, and you are protected because of the constant barrage of bombs. The trophy unlocks once the total number of bombs dropped in all play modes combined reaches 290.

You drop bombs by using 
. For every life you have, you get 3 additional bombs. You can also get extra bombs while playing through the stages - it's dependent on your score is after you beat a stage and you see the stage results. On Novice (Easy) mode, you will drop bombs automatically.
If for some reason you don't have this trophy after your three runs, go to practice mode. Play on Novice and set bombs to 10. Now just let the game play by itself.
