This can be completed in single player or multiplayer. Choose the level Training Day from the main menu, select your character and destroy the crap out of everything in the Sedgewick Hotel.
In particular, you may want to watch out for the eight LCD televisions on the walls for the Rockstar achievement.

The first level is considered a "training" level and is named as such. Simply reach the "Level Complete" screen to unlock this trophy. The end section of the level will be the area you started in, the main lobby. You will fight a purple twirling ghost who shrinks as you chop away at its health. After defeating this ghost, the level will end.

Just beat the first level, it's not that hard, and the achievement is yours.
