How to unlock the Employee of the Month achievement in Ghostbusters: The Video Game - Definitive Guide

Obviously you must be the top earner for each job type, this means you have to successfully complete the job. A failure in the mission does not count towards this achievement.

To avoid failure (AKA Venkman Victories), you must do the following for that respective mode:
Containment - capture at least one ghost
Destruction - destroy one cursed artifact
Survival - Survive one wave of enemies
Protection - Activate all three PKE towers
Slime dunk - Capture at least one slimer
Thief - Finish the match with one artifact remaining

My strategy to get the top earner is to start with the slime blower. Throw out a trap and slime dunk a few ghosts into your trap at the beginning of the match. This should give you a $2-4,000 lead right from the start. Then from there make sure you assist and get combos with everyone else that traps a ghost. If you see someone trapping a ghost quickly wrangle them with your own proton beam so you can get the assist/combo. Slam dunking ghosts into your own trap also gives you a bonus for cash over those that support you.

The job types that you need to get top earner in are: containment, destruction, protection, slime dunk, survival, and thieves.

My final game to get this achievement was a failed destruction... we only got 22 of them. I was the top earner, and got the achievement. It doesn't appear that all games must be victories.

@DragonYen, his guide says you only need to collect one, not all of them...

I think this is bugged because I got it on my first time playing the game. I went into a random live game and this popped and I thought it was a much simpler achievement than this guide is making it out to be.

It's as simple as completing each job type. I wouldn't be surprised if you had all ready done them before and it popped randomly.

I completed this yesterday but it never popped for me. I completed all the objectives as you stated above, is there anything else that I could do?

This only unlocked for me once I got a Victory! in each job type. The round over wins did not count.

This popped for me after our third (failed?) destruction match. I was the top earner for all three. For the first two matches, we both got knocked out after destroying around 20 artifacts. For the third match, time ran out at around 22 artifacts and the achievement popped at the match summary.

This achievement, is one of a group of Multiplayer achievements that CAN glitch for you, it may or may not, some have it, some do not. The only explaination is something irratic in the achievement unlock code, this is still there even after the December 2010 patch. Only another patch will correct it, and even then probably only for "new players", unless the developer does a Multiplayer Stat server reset after another patch.

@vSully - your problem may have been not finishing the round. My experience in going for Payday suggests that in Destruction you must destroy at least one artifact AND let time run out. If all of the players went down to end the round, it did not count for Payday. Since the criteria for a "victory" is the same for both achievements, I'm sure it doesn't count here either. Dropkick, you may want to update the guide to indicate that.

Yeah I also need to let time run out in destruction before it would unlock for me.

Here's a link to an Excel spreadsheet checklist I made for the Employee of the Month, Gozer's Most Wanted, No Job Too Big, and Overachiever achievements: https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=51102B83C52024A9!1122

How can you "victory" slim dunk? Or can you only get "round over"?

Yeah, is that right for both of them on victory and round over too? So, that will be the 1st place is $40,000 and 2nd to 4th place is $20,000? Is that right for all you got?

As of 9/2/22 Online does work for this game. Based on other comments I have seen around the web achievements are working and the bugged ones may have been fixed with a patch. Some friends and I are going to work on these. Once we can confirm if everything works, I will update here.

As of now though the online portion of this game does work. There are almost no players online.

Also as a side note... if you have not played since Xbox360, this game is backwards compatible. If you start the game up on a newer console it will pull your cloud save if you have one there.

When you load the game up on a newer console it will tell you that it is going to overwrite your save data. THIS DOES NOT DELETE YOUR SAVE. It upgrades the save file for use on the newer consoles. If you still want to go back and play on the 360 then you will need to export the save (copy it) to a USB device from your 360.

Happy hunting!
