How to unlock the A Legitimate Business achievement in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Definitive Guide

Exports and Imports are a series of side-missions which become available after completing the mission "Customs Fast Track" from Cesar Vialpando, this mission will be available, once the following requirements are completed:

1. Unlocking "San Fierro"
Grand Theft Auto: San AndreasSecret AchievementThe Secret Achievement achievement in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas worth 65 pointsContinue playing to unlock this secret achievement

2. Completing Driving School with at least all Bronze
3. Purchasing Wang Cars (Costs $50,000)
4. Completing "Zeroing In" missions given by Cesar Vialpando
5. Completing "Test Drive" missions given by Cesar Vialpando

There are 3 lists of each 10 vehicles to complete. Almost every vehicle of these lists has a 'spawn-place' in San Andreas which is related to this mission. But, be aware: the vehicle has that spawn-place only when it is on the list which you have to complete at that moment. When you have delivered a vehicle it will not reappear at that spawn-place again. Of course you can see most of the vehicles driving through the streets or parked somewhere else. If the vehicle doesn't spawn, you have to walk away and come back and the vehicle might have spawned.

You will need to unlock "Las Venturas" as well, in order to deliver all vehicles

In this exactly point of the map (Easter Basin, San Fierro):

You will find a board, containing a list with the current cars:
External image

Each wanted list consists of ten different vehicles needed for export. They range from motorbikes to sports cars, and from common to rare.

List 1
Admiral
Buffalo
Camper
Feltzer
Infernus
Patriot
Remington
Sanchez
Sentinel
Stretch

List 2
Blista Compact
Cheetah
Comet
FCR-900
Rancher
Sabre
Slamvan
Stafford
Stallion
Tanker

List 3
Banshee
BF Injection
Blade
Euros
Freeway
Journey
Huntley
Mesa
Super GT
ZR-350

I personally use this map to find some vehicles:
http://gta-sanandreas.com/guides/importexport/map.htm

Once you have the desire vehicle you have to take it to a specific marker on a cargo ship in Easter Basin, San Fierro, where it can be lifted in place via a magnetic dockside crane, or simply driven up a ramp linking the dock to the deck of the ship if the vehicle is compact enough to be driven onto the ship. Once the vehicle is in contact of the marker (and released from the crane magnet, if lifted using the crane), a message will show up that the you have successfully exported that vehicle. Then you will receive money depending on the type and condition of the vehicle.

Thanks to gta-sanandreas.com by the way

Reward
-Cash is awarded for each car successfully delivered, ranging from $10,000 to $135,000 (with cash deducted if the vehicle is delivered with damage). The player will receive a large cash bonus for completion of each of the lists, ranging from $100,000 to $200,000 per list.
-Delivering a vehicle will unlock a new vehicle being made available for import on certain days. These vehicles range from the vehicle which has just been delivered to the dock, to rare vehicles Carl may only be able to obtain via import which become available for every five cars delivered. These vehicles may be purchased on certain days of the week only, and may be bought during or after completion of the sub-mission by returning to the blackboard. Vehicles purchased appear on the deck of the freighter, requiring Carl to either use the crane or attempt to drive them down the ramp.
-Exporting all 30 vehicles is a requirement for 100% completion of the game.
-And of course the "A Legitimate Business" Achievement

I just wanted to add this, I found the map you used was perfect. I personally recommend using the train rails to get around. a). It's really fast, b.) You avoid lot's of damage, so more $ and, c.) it leads right back to the ship. Just throwing it out there.

Just as a BIG note: You also have to complete all driving school missions and buy Wang Cars, before these lists are available. Now you only name the mission as a prerequiste, but there are two more.

Yes, I used it, and as I wrote on the solution, most of the cars on the list, are around "San Fierro", and the "Stallion" wasn't the exception, I found it parked near to the Driving School.

Hello lSoNl, I do hope I can help aid in the Guide's improvement if that is OK with you. Unfortunately due to a TrueAchievements update some time ago, you can only provide an official solution on a given Achievement if you have unlocked it only (which I haven't; I have on my other account). Now I did follow the guide provided by www.gta-sanandreas.com, however I found it to be half-done in the sense that 90% of the cars on the three lists can be found in San Fierro quite OFTEN. Here is a list that will make things easier for everyone. Enjoy. Lastly, I am sure all vehicles can be found here, however there were only about 2-3 which I was unable to find in the heart of San Fierro.

List 1 of 3:

1. Patriot:
- Easter Basin, San Fierro: inside the Naval Base. Upon entering the base you will receive a 5 Star Wanted Level. Warning: you cannot lose your Wanted Level with any Police/Military vehicle at a Pay 'N' Spray. Drive to the nearest Pay 'N' Spray, park the Patriot beside garage, enter another vehicle, enter the Pay 'N' Spray with random vehicle, and wait for Wanted Level to disappear, then take the Patriot to the docks.

2. Sanchez:
- San Fierro: parked in the alley way, left of Dom's Rubber Shop in Queens, San Fierro. To find Dom's easier, look for Hemlock Tattoo and Suburban clothing in Garcia which can be found just West of the Driving School/red S on your map. When facing the front of these two stores, continue left and Dom's will be straight ahead. Lastly, I found this vehicle spawned here at 10:07am, so you may want to arrive at the time I did if it didn't spawn for you. Remember, you can fast forward 6 hours in time each time you save at a safe house.

- Angel Pine, Countryside - "Parked right next to the hut which has a save icon next to it." -www.GTA-SanAndreas.com

3. Stretch:
- San Fierro: located beside the Pay 'N' Spray North East of the Doherty Garage (marked in brown on map).

4. Feltzer:
- San Fierro: I found this vehicle along the stretch of road bordering the Doherty Gas Station (marked in brown on your map) in San Fierro, though I'm sure it can be found all over the City.
- Flint County, Countryside: "The Feltzer will randomly spawn in the car park marked by the large grey square on the radar on the bottom right coastline of Flint Country." -www.GTA-SanAndreas.com

5. Remington:
- Unity Station, Los Santos: can be found parked in the parking lot.

6. Buffalo:
- San Fierro: can be found here; location forgotten. North West area??

7. Sentinel:
- Vinewood, Los Santos: "South East side of the movie studio car park." -www.GTA-SanAndreas.com

8. Infernus:
- Paradiso, San Fierro: located in the driveway of a house just North of a safe house you can purchase in the area and West of the Pay 'N' Spray on your map. Paradiso can be found in the North West section of San Fierro (on your map).

9. Camper:
- Juniper Hollow, San Fierro: located in a parking lot of a diner just East of the bridge entrance. You can find Juniper Hollow in the North West section of San Fierro (on your map).

10. Admiral:
- Doherty, San Fierro: second intersection West of the Driving School (red S on map) and a safe house.

List 2 of 3:

1. Slamvan:
- Paradiso, San Fierro: can be easily found in the second intersection West of the Northern Pay 'N' Spray. This intersection will be North East of a safe house you are able to purchase in the area. The time I found lots of Slamvan's here was 17:00. Try going here at the time I did. Remember, saving your game once at a nearby safe house will move the time ahead by 6 hours.

2. Blista Compact:
- Doherty/Garcia border, San Fierro: located just West of Doherty Gas Station (marked in brown on your map with a safe house/save point).

3. Stafford:
- Queens, San Fierro: parked in front of the Vank Hoff Hotel which you can purchase as a safe house. You can find Queens on the mid-western area of San Fierro, just left of the Doherty Gas Station and North a bit (look for the safe house icon).

4. Sabre:
- Eastern Basin Docks, San Fierro: as soon as you exit the Eastern Basin Docks (where you bring your vehicles to), turn right and a Sabre can be found anywhere on that U-shaped stretch of road. I foun one at the end of the road where you're forced to make a left turn and then come to an intersection.
- Doherty, San Fierro: can also be found frequently by the second intersection West of the Driving School.

5. FCR-900:
- Rosca Escalante, Las Venturas: "Parked just to the West of the Well Stacked Pizza building." -www.GTA-SanAndreas.com
Note (me): This building can be found standing alone to the LEFT of a complex housing three clothing stores, a pizza shop and a Cluckin' Bell.

6. Cheetah:
- Paradiso, San Fierro: two intersections directly West (left) of the Pay 'N' Spray. Paradiso is located in the North West section of San Fierro. In this intersection, you are also able to find a Stallion often.

7. Rancher:
- The Panopticon, San Fierro: travel East of San Fierro along the highway which borders the Eastern Bay Airport until you cross a bridge. Once across the bridge you will come to an intersection in a place called The Panopticon where at this intersection many Rancher's and Tanker's can be found.

8. Stallion:
- Doherty/Garcia border, San Fierro: located just West of Doherty Gas Station (marked in brown on your map with a safe house/save point).
- Paradiso, San Fierro: two intersections directly West (left) of the Pay 'N' Spray.

9. Tanker:
- The Panopticon, San Fierro: see 7 (Rancher) for description.

10. Coment:
- Avispa Country Club, San Fierro's: located in Tennis Court parking lot. The Country Club can be found South West of the Driving School/red S on your map (look for a yellow window icon, left of some forest).

List 3 of 3:

Vehicles 1-7 and 10 on list 3 of 3 were found using the guide here: http://gta-sanandreas.com/guides/importexport/index.php

8. Journey (RV/Camper):
- The Panopticon, San Fierro: travel East of San Fierro along the highway which borders the Eastern Bay Airport until you cross a bridge. Once across the bridge you will come to an intersection in a place called The Panopticon where at this intersection many Rancher's and Tanker's can be found.

9. Huntley (SUV/Escalade-type vehicle):
- Garcia, San Fierro: I found a Huntley at 6:58am in the first intersection just East of the Hemlock Tattoo and Suburban clothing. This intersection is the first intersection North East of the safe house in Hashbury and is West of the Driving School/red S on your map. If you cannot find this vehicle here in the day time, try going early in the morning at the exact time I did. Remember, you can fast forward 6 hours each time you save your game at a safe house.

I hope this has helped some of you! Cheers.

A tip for everyone struggling with locked cars. You don't need a tow truck to open them. Save nearby, and reload your save and try again. It's a bit random, but sometimes they will be locked, and other times not. Make sure you save with the car in your garage before a long trip!

The Freeway on the map kept messing up my progress. It starts the Courier mission and that somehow wiped my 3rd list progress no matter what. Instead I went to the desert as I noticed alot of bikers there and got one from some random parking lot to finally get it exported.

Does someone know if there's still any risk of the list bugging and forcing you to re do it if you reset while you are missing 9 or less cars?

By N4gN1rN4hS on 11 Jun 2018 02:09
The Freeway one is bugged in backwards compatibility, but there is an easy work around! Grab the Freeway which starts a courier missions, and go to one of your garages. Let the timer run out (or get off the bike for 20 sec), and go save your game. If you go to the docks now Freeway won't be bugged anymore.

I am getting really really really fed up of this achievement, did 5 cars, got bored, saved loaded up and all progress reset. did 8 saved, all progress reset, did 9 saved all progress rest, after alot of digging YOU NEED TO GET ONE CAR LIST/TEN CARS BEFORE SAVING then and only then will it save.

So if you do ten it will save ten, if you do fifteen it will only save ten. etc. so do it one list at a time/all 30 at once or not at all. Stupid game only saves blocks of ten. This is such a boring activity.

EDIT: You must have the the third island unlocked before you receive the second of the two phone calls. Big thanks to Ultras500 for the tip and AmazingSpider97 for confirming.

An important part of this which other guides seem to be leaving out is that in order to unlock the missions for Cesar which in turn unlocks the lists, you first have to complete all driving school missions with at least a bronze medal. You will then receive two phone calls so make sure you are on foot as you cannot receive calls while in a vehicle. The second call will give you the ability to purchase Wang's cars, which is the showroom just across from CJ's garage in San Fierro. Just look for the house icon on the map. This building costs $50000. After you purchase the building you will unlock a series of missions from Cesar. The first is called "zeroing in", the second is called "test drive" and the third is "Customs Fast Track". The third is the mission that will unlock the lists for you.
Credit to I BroBeans I for helping me confirm this unlocks the lists
You can check out the other guides for some helpful tips on where to get the cars.
Thanks for reading.

This is an appendix to the solution that lSoNl has written up, which already details the general rules of the import/export side-mission.

The Stallion which is part of the second list can be found in Juniper Hill, parked in front of a row of stores. The orange outline on the map cut below shows exactly where.

External image

It's not a guaranteed spawn however, so I would suggest buying one of the two safe houses nearby (marked with a blue outline) and then entering it so you can 'refresh' the vehicles that spawn.

x PAYLOAD x mentions that if you cannot get it to spawn using the above method, dying intentionally also works.

If you do plan on doing this start to finish with no distractions, you'll be looking at around four to five hours of tracking down cars and dropping them off if you take these tips into mind.

* There's an NRG500 nearby used for a challenge, which in itself is tied to the achievement Bike or Biker. You can use this to exit the docks faster. You won't need to concern yourself with the challenge each time it starts.

* Always air travel when leaving San Fierro. The airport which is nearby the import/export crane will be your most favorite place in the game for the duration of this. Once you enter through the gates, go to the left path, and then turn left again once you go up to the runway area to find a Beagle sitting there. This plane has good speed and is very easy to handle.

* After you've finished picking up the vehicle, you can move the magnet back to the ground again after getting the cash bonus. This will save you having to pick up additional vehicles as you can just drive onto the magnet. Alternatively, you can drive up the boat ramp instead of using the crane, yet some cars may have trouble accelerating up there. (Credit to Galarzaa90 for pointing this out)

* If you've finished the game and have tons of cash to go around, start buying safe houses near locations that have listed vehicles. Save when you're near the vehicle so if you do roll your car or fall into the ocean on the way back, you won't need to traverse all the way back again. Just reload and you're good!

* The Patriot is a pain to get just because you're going to get five stars. Don't take risks here. Find the best path back to your nearest garage so you can store it and keep it safe. The FIB are extremely aggressive and will collide with you, which in turn could set the Patriot on fire. Let them get ahead of you and then work your way around as you make it back to the garage.

I was trying you way with running in and out of safe houses, trying to get the Stallion to spawn. I did this for a hour with no results. Then a friend told me to kill myself and check if its spawn. Took me 2 suicides and finally got the car.

It's in Las Venturas, parked near a hotel save point. You might need to run around a block or two for it to spawn.

You can also go straight to the red marker through the ramp on the side of the ship, so you don't need to use the crane at all.

I have a better idea for the patriot!

Area 69, bottom right of the Area 69 compound there is a fence that can be driven through. Inside is parked a Patriot, Flatbed, Harrier jet and military helicopter. I drive through the fence, grabbed the vehicle and took it to the airfield and saved my game. Police disappeared and my patriot was still there. Took 30 seconds

@Iceonfire (and whoever needs to see this) Are you sure you were loading your manual save? The resume function always loads your last autosave, not your manual one. You have to click 'Load Game' on startup.

For those with issues saving car list progress. You can always go to one of the racing missions, like the one behind Wang Cars, load up the menu wait for the "Race Tournaments" text to fade then switch to a different race. Starting the race is not required, just change which one is displayed. I'm not sure how it works and sometimes it won't work for me, but once you exit the races menu it should trigger an autosave.

I have two tips to speed things up a little bit

*There's a NRG500 close to the crane used for a bike challenge, so you always have a fast vehicle to get to the airport after dropping a car. Just get on it and ignore the challenge

* After dropping a car in the ship, place the magnet back on the floor so when you're are going to deliver another car, you just drive to the magnet and the car gets automatically attached. That way you don't have to "fish" for the car each time.

This is for the people that might still be having an issue getting the Stallion

You should try ChaosAlert's method first

Anyways if you can't get the Stallion to spawn try going outside the gas station located north of the export location (shown in the red box below).

They're somewhat common in this area, Just drive or run around till you see one of these

This is very long and time consuming so my solution would be to buy a safe house with garage in san fierro.when you steal a car if it is part of the list your on with export it,if it's on another list put it away for later on in one of your 2 garages.i also can across the following link which is very very useful

Useful tips for cars that wont show up/are locked!

If you approach a vehicle and find the car door is locked you can simply blow up the vehicle, then walk or drive away (you don't have to go too far, just down the street should work) then return to the cars spawn point and it has a chance to spawn unlocked.

If you go to a spot where a specific car should spawn but isn't there, just drive away (Down the street and back) and a new car should spawn in its place (repeat until the desired car spawns.

Additionally there is a bug with the Freeway motorcycle on backwards compatibility.
An apparent fix is to get the motorcycle, take it to your garage, then go into your house and make a save, exit the house and get the motorcycle out of your garage and it should be ready to export.

Hope this helps!

If you want to know where to get each exportable vehicle there are many guides on YouTube. The one I personally used was "Stilefty's" guide, I would defiantly recommend that guide, straight and to the point.

This can be obtained after the mission “Customs Fast Track” by taking all of the listed cars (shown on a billboard at the end of the pier) to the crane and using the crane to lift the vehicle onto the ship. You must complete the Driving School (pass each test with 70% or greater) to access the mission line that leads to "Customs Fast Track." This is a good source of money, albeit time consuming.

This map can help with a few of the vehicle locations. This image comes from the website https://gta-sanandreas.com/guides/importexport/index.php - check them out for an even more detailed guide on where to find every car!

Having problems with Feltzer (this is the one on the motel package southeast of San Fierro). The website says that he will spawn on Wednesday. And yes, he appears, but not in the morning, but somewhere in the middle of the day.

The board opens in one of the missions of the Caesar line. To open it, you need to complete the last story mission in the city and graduate from driving school with at least bronze. After this, two calls come in one after another, and the line opens.

A couple of times I was unlucky: in the parking lots indicated on the interactive map (see above) the necessary cars were completely absent... It doesn’t matter - we go somewhere for another car, come back again and voila - it’s still there.

The days of the week that are indicated in the prompts do not matter, the main thing is to import the lists in order of priority

Almost everything can be found in San Fierro, they ride there often, except Journey, Mesa, Sanchez (they can be found at Mount Chiliad, Angel Pine). Freeway is located at the Hippy Shopper store (behind the house in Queens), cancel the task, export is possible.
Tanker is almost always at the San Fierro convention.
Super GT parked outside the driving school.
Banshee near the San Fierro golf club (squares on the map), you can also find staffort there.
Expensive cars appear on the roads in San Fierro more often in the evening (even more often in the north of the city), of which they are rare on weekends.
Export will take you from 3 to 7 hours (7 hours if you travel to other places where cars appear most often. It is best to go to Las Venturas for cars, because the highway between the cities is quite short than San Fierro and Los Santos.

Trofney is absolutely the most boring, it will definitely take away 4 hours from you.
1. the interactive map above almost never lies, except that Banshee is located right next to the gym, to the right on the map
2. in 90% of cases, railway tracks will help you. there is no traffic on them, the shortest route between cities is laid on them, plus the port is very close to the railway, so use it
3. very close to the port there is an NRG test, and a sports bike always spawns there. take it after every completed car, it's the closest vehicle to the port (you won't have to run to the road), and it's also super fast
4. on railway tracks, the speed of transport decreases noticeably, but on a motorcycle you can still slightly move the stick forward (so that Karl rests slightly on the steering wheel) and accelerate strongly
5. The first list is the most tedious, because you will have to go to Los Santos three times, but the second and third will be easier.
