Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Your media attention rank is a reflection of the amount of damage and chaos you cause through blowing vehicles up, killing people etc in a single killing spree. The more destruction you make and the longer you maintain a high wanted level, the higher your media attention rank will reach. The Stuff of Legends media attention rank is the highest rank you can reach and requires a rating of at least 1800 (see the list below for the ranks). This can be checked at any time by pressing the and navigating to Stats => Media attention level.

The easiest way to reach this rank is to earn six wanted stars and maintain them for as long as you can. As such, this trophy is best combined with Catch Me if You Can. If you die or get arrested your rank will likely drop back down to Ignored. Below are a few different methods/strategies you can use to quickly raise your media attention rank.

Method #1:

Collect 90 hidden packages so you unlock the Rhino. Once you have access to the tank, simply drive around and destroy everything you can, including blowing up cars and running people over. You will quickly get to six wanted stars and then you want to maintain this wanted level. Just keep driving around the city and focus on destroying and killing police officers, FBI agents and the army. The same can be done with The Hunter helicopter which is unlocked after collected all 100 hidden packages. Once you have reached the required amount for either the Rhino or The Hunter, they will spawn at the Fort Baxter which is located just north of Escobar International Airport. Method #2:

Complete the game to 100% completion to unlock infinite ammo and fast reload. At this point you will almost be unstoppable as you won't need to worry about ammunition and you will have elevated health and armour capacity. Now you just need the rocket launcher and sit yourself out of reach of the cops and blow up everything you can. A good place to do this is the second floor of Sunshine Auto.

25 - 50: Bored
50 - 75: Vaguely Interesting
75 - 100: Local Paper Page 7
100 - 150: Front Page of Local Paper
150 - 200: Vice Courier Page 2
200 - 250: Vice Courier Front Page
250 - 300: Local TV 3 AM
300 - 350: Local TV News
350 - 400: Local TV Live Coverage
400 - 500: UFA Today Page 12
500 - 600: UFA Today Page 4
600 - 700: Picture in UFA Today
700 - 800: National TV 4 AM
800 - 900: National TV News
900 - 1000: National TV Live Coverage
1000 - 1200: International News
1200 - 1400: National Crisis
1400 - 1600: International Crisis
1600 - 1800: World Event
1800+: Stuff of Legends
