How to unlock the Main Menu Maestro achievement in Grease Dance - Definitive Guide
For this achievement you need to play the first four bars of 'Summer Lovin' using the main menu options. If you've been paying attention to the hints that scroll while songs/minigames are loading, they mention this there. Controlling the button selection is a challenge with your hands, and no, using your standard Xbox controller isn't an option...unfortunately.
This took me MANY tries before I unlocked it; probably close to 50. I was actually thinking it might be glitch, but alas, it isn't. You just have to be perfect, or almost perfect, on the Rhythm, Tempo, and Timing of when to hit the 'buttons'. For those of you that can read music, here is link to the sheet music for 'Summer Lovin'. http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtdFPE.asp?ppn=MN006993... I found this to be quite helpful to see where, and for how long, the pauses are.
What buttons you scroll over and in what order you do them in has ZERO impact on this achievement since each individual button isn't assigned to a specific note. Again, the key is correct Rhythm, Tempo, and Timing of when you scroll over the buttons, so that you are actually playing the song. Learn the rhythm, mimic the tempo of the song, practice how much you need to move your hand to scroll over the buttons, and hope for some luck.

I don't have the achievement yet, but I prefer the folowing tactic:
2 - Short Break - 3 - 4 - Short Break - 3 - 2 - Short Break - 3 - 4 -5 -Very Short Break - 4 - 3
I think it is easier in this way because of the last break.
Perhaps "Chad and Jessie" can fill in this tactic. :)

This trophy is quite easy. The trick is to move slowly the cursor one by one from top to bottom and to the top again doing this 3 times while you are in the Main Menu until you activate a fragment of Summer Nights song.
Do this starting in the Main Menu: from the option Dance move to Karaoke to Party Play to Extras to Options to Extras to Party Play to Karaoke to Dance to Karaoke… continue until you complete another 2 circuits. If you do it properly, the song will play with the trophy seconds later.
