Mission 3 - Central Battery

This mission centers around saving the Central Battery in the caves of Oa.

You will first be told to destroy all Spawn Gates. This is pretty straight forward stuff. Just follow the main path and take out any towers to reduce the number of enemies coming through the portal (or if you feel up to it, kill all the enemies until there is none left, which will net you some good XP). Unlike the previous leve, some of the portals will require you to destroy two towers instead of one. When you reach a certain point you will learn a new Construct - Hover Mine. Create and toss (B button to grab and B button again to throw) a Hover Mine at each rock face that has a glowing green aura. After a cutscene showing some red floating enemies firing upon the central battery, you will need to destroy them, along with any bad guys in the room.

When you finish with your second round of red enemies, keep an eye open for a rock face before a green jump spot. Use a Hover Mine on the rock face to open up a small cave with a meteorite.

Then jump down and take out all the enemies. This part might be a little difficult on Emerald Knight, but perseverance will win out! Some story dialog will then occur. When you reach the next portion of the level, there will be a split in the road. Take the left side first. Destroy some rocks and get another meteorite power up, then head back and take the right path.

At the end of the path is a wall with a green lantern symbol and a glowing circle object at your feet. Use the War Hammer on the glowing circle on the floor and enter the next room where once again use a Hover Mine to blow a hole and see a glowing green lantern symbol. Follow the instructions to open access to a large pressure plate puzzle. Complete the symbol puzzle by using the War Hammer again on the white glowing pressure plates to open the door to the next room.

Break through some more rock faces with Hover Mines and enter the large main catacomb. The final boss is actually two large Manhunters. Defeat them both to complete Mission 3.
