As in all Guitar Hero games you can use your Xbox Live Mic as a Microphone.
You can do this in Career or Quickplay.
If you can't (or don't want to) sing put the difficulty on Beginner, Place mic next to a fan, hum or blow into your mic and you'll get close to, if not 100%
