This is just rediculous, just my opinion....but ebay has nice deals on GH:WT drumsets, $50

That's so rediculous, i won't buy a set of drums just for an achievement.

This is a solution for those without the "Guitar Hero" brand drums, and who don't want to have to buy them just for a single achievement.
As a heads up, you're going to need a flash drive for this to work.
(With about 256mb of space free)
It's essentially the same as what xTADHGx mentions, however it has nothing to do with already having the achievement; the way it works is the tutorial for the current main account counts for everyone. Which basically means whenever the tutorial is completed anyone currently signed in is awarded the achievement. And it will also pop after playing a song for anyone who doesn't have it, as long as the main account has a save loaded with the tutorial complete.
I have a dummy account with a save that has the drums part of the tutorial already complete, so you'll still have to finish the rest of the instruments. Just PM me and I'll give you the account info and save downloads.
First off you should format the flash drive on your Xbox; this will create a hidden folder with three files in it, so make sure your computer is set to view hidden files. Then over to your computer to replace two of the files with the ones provided. Then back to the Xbox to recover the dummy account, and then pop in the flash drive. After loading the save from the flash drive the drum tutorials should be finished. Then just finish the rest of the tutorials with the dummy account, and wallah! The achievement should unlock.
A thanks to MMMDI for helping figure this achievement out, and confirming the achievement pops right after the tutorial is finished!

Yep, it definitely works as advertised. I never had to use the official GH drums and I got this unlocked. The rest of the tutorials take roughly a half hour to get through.
I'd normally feel bad about glitching something like this, but there was no way I was spending $80+ for a set of drums that I would use for ten minutes to get a 5GS achievement.

Here's something to try. Yesterday i was going for the 'Nothing Else Matters' achievement (Complete the career in a band) and i had a guest profile signed in which was using the fan trick on beginner. I was playing guitar on hard. once I finished a song in band career (Fade To Black I believe) this achievement popped for the guest profile. I already had the achievement. You probably wont feel bad glitching this one, as it doesnt exactly require that much skill if you have the right equipment, lol.
To get this the only challenges are:
1.You must have a guitar hero guitar, drum kit (I am not sure if you can get the achievement with a rock band drum kit, but I know you can use it to play), and any type of music game microphone for your system.
2. Having the patience to get through it...

You'll need a Guitar Hero drum set to complete the drum tutorial in order to get this trophy. So if you don't plan on getting one soon, don't bother with this one quite yet.
Go on "career" and choose "tutorials". To complete the tutorials, it is obligatory that you have all 4 instruments as there are different sections in the tutorial for each instrument. This is also a good opportunity to familiarize with the game, if you're new to the system. After completing each instrument's tutorial you will have this trophy.
