Of course! Why didn't I think to use this video earlier?!

This by far I think is the best video to sync with, I just got mine with this video. I ran a 95% the first time it didn't pop then the second run I hit 96%, I think with a little better timing you can hit 98% - 99%. Again this is very simple to follow and less frustration, and no this is not my video.
If you dislike please post why it did not work. Keep in mind I have a turtle beech headset. So audio for you guys might work different then mine.

Great video. I used the starting Line as my point to sync the audio. Got it on my 3rd try. With a 97% on Notes, 11 Streak, and 51,290 as my score. thx

Couldn't get this one to work; tried a bunch of times. I got 99% with the trombone video though. Maybe it was just a timing thing, or my speakers weren't loud enough.

For this achievement, you're going to need to score 95% or higher, singing Killer Queen on Expert difficulty. Either in solo career or in quickplay should be fine so long as you're singing on Expert. Only the percentage scored matters - your final score and number of stars are totally irrelevant. (Depending on which phrases you miss and how little you activate star power, you can conceivably get this achievement with a whopping four-star run.)
If you typically play on guitar or drums instead, it's probably worth recalibrating your system to be optimized for vocal performance. For most folks, this should entail adding 30ms or so to your Audio Lag value while keeping your Video Lag value constant. It takes some time for the XBOX to process the vocal input and translate it to showing on the screen in-game; this should help compensate for that. Without doing so, you have to "sing ahead" of the song by a fraction of a second, which can make things very difficult on even experienced singers. (It may also be worth changing the audio mix, to have the vocal track at full, the microphone at a medium level, and everything else quieted as much as possible, to help you focus on just the vocal component.)
A quick heads-up: it is quite possible for you to finish the song, have the screen at the end say 95%... and not have the achievement pop. This is because the achievement keys off of the ACTUAL percentage that you got on the song, while the statistics screen at the end will round things to the nearest percent for you. Twice, I got a "95%" run that was technically a 94.7% if you crunched all of the numbers. How deliciously frustrating!
The easiest way of stripping aside all the percentages and figuring out just how close you are to achieving this: at the "More Stats" screen, comb through your results on a phrase-by-phrase basis. An "Excellent" counts for 0, a "Solid" counts for 1, an "Average" counts for 2, a "Rough" counts for 3, and a "Sloppy"... well, if you're getting Sloppy ratings, this discussion is probably irrelevant. A total of 11 or less is good enough to get you the achievement; a total of 12 or more won't get the job done. I found the above system of counting per-phrase demerits way more straightforward than anything else I could figure out, and really helps focus on which phrases you'll most benefit from practice on.
As for the actual singing of the song itself... well, there's only so much that can be said. Generally speaking, there are two main approaches that one can use towards getting this achievement:
- The "technical" approach: use an external audio source to "sing" the song for you. A linked YouTube video may do the trick, or you can try cobbling together your own by recording yourself practicing a phrase until you score perfect with it, then editing all those recorded phrases together into one awesome run. Alternatively:
- There's the "real singing" approach: just keep mindlessly trying the whole song over and over, getting better and better at nailing various phrases in question, until eventually you have enough memorized that the stars align and you can put together a 95% run.
Which of these you'll find more palatable depends wildly upon your initial skill level before attempting this achievement, of course. (Specific details about which phrases are "the toughies" is so wildly dependent on your personal abilities and setup that I won't even try to speculate.) Either way, just remember that you don't have to be PERFECT. If you can avoid scoring "Average" or worse, you can limp through the song getting fully one-third of the phrases wrong and still achieve this. That's how I did it: 23 "Excellent" and 11 "Solid" was sufficient enough to get this one done. Best of luck to you!

VERY helpful. I haven't even tried for this achievement yet, but now I want to.

Agreed, now I want to. Hell, I want to do vocals, period, because the audio lag idea is great. I've always felt it was off for some reason.

Here's a video of my FC run. Hope it helps.
I suggest the trombone video, works better! and its better to sync
Make sure you know the song and sing well. Start with a lower difficulty setting and move on to Expert.
Note: This trophy doesn't always unlock if you get exactly 95%. Getting 96% or more will unlock the trophy.
If you can't get this trophy on your own, you can place your mic next to your speaker and use the video below to get the trophy. It might take a couple of tries to sync the video properly with the game.
Thanks to KrimsunMunkey for the video
