How to unlock the War Apparatus achievement in Guitar Hero: Smash Hits - Definitive Guide
- Playing on drums
- Career or Quickplay
- Expert+ difficulty selected (intended for players with two bass pedals)
- Pick a song with the Expert+ "skull and crossbones" icon by the name
You can choose any E+ song you feel comfortable playing - the easier ones will appear higher up the setlist in career mode. Shout at the Devil is generally considered the easiest.
If you don't have two pedals, Bark at the Moon only has short, sporadic double-bass sections and is otherwise fairly simple. You can get away with only hitting some of those really fast pedal notes without failing the song, as long as you're able to pick up the slack afterwards.
If you're not a very good drummer.
And Shout at the Devil is indeed one of the easiest.
Play the song normally, then when it gets to the end with the double bass parts, pause the game, turn your pedal sideways, and use two feet. I stayed in the green (usually not getting higher than a X2 multiplyer though) and finished out the song like that.

For this trophy you have to complete a song on Expert+ with drums. Expert+ means the song has fast kick notes requiring you to use two kick pedals to hit them so fast.
You do NOT have to have two kick pedals to get this trophy. You can do it with one. Make sure the song has a skull with bones next to it so you know it has an Expert+ track. The easiest way to get this is to complete the song 'Shout at the Devil' on Expert+. It only has double bass sections at the end of the song and they are pretty slow. If you have a fast foot, you can hit them all with one pedal. If not, you can play it like you would on Expert, hitting every other kick note and you should be able to complete the song without failing. If you are having trouble, save star power and activate it when the double bass section comes.
If you are a skilled drummer, you can also try Bark at the Moon. It is much harder to play compared to Shout at the Devil but it has almost no double bass sections, mostly just occasional triple kicks, making it easy to pass with only one pedal. (Thanks to grimydawg for the tip)
