How to unlock the Unchained achievement in Guitar Hero: Van Halen - Definitive Guide

Play through all 4 career types (Vocals, Bass, Guitar & Drums) and you will receive the Modern version of the musician after winning 100 of 250 stars, and the Classic version after winning 200 of 250 stars.

thanks wasnt sure also the cheats dont unlock the achievement if that matters

You also might want to mention going through on Beginner is an easier way to mop up any stars someone might have missed to get them up to that 200 star mark.

Aren't There Only 235 Starts To Get In Each Career?

Different careers have different star counts. Guitar has 235. Bass and Vocals have 220. Drums has 225. Makes no difference, you still need 200 in each career.

There are eight characters to unlock, 2 in each instrument's career: each of the four members of VH and their "classic" counterparts. Earning 100 stars in a career unlocks the regular character and 200 gets you the classic version.
