How to unlock the Altered Virtuoso achievement in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock - Definitive Guide

You can only get this achievement after completing the first half of Quest mode. Once you've done so, pick any song and just play it through. An FC is not necessary. You can miss some notes as Streak Protector will guard your streak for two misses allowing you to keep combo.
Activate Star Power as soon as you get it and most of the times it won't even run out during the song because of SP Generator + and the other Star Power phrases.

This can be done on any difficulty.

Technically the first chance you have to get this is actually in the last song of the first half of Quest Mode (Sudden Death by Megadeth) as that is the first time you are all-powerful. But it's a lot easier to do on some of the early songs. Basically as long as you keep star power deployed whenever you can, and don't stuff up too many streaks this is pretty easy.

Be sure not to fail a song as Axel's Ankhs provide 5 stars at the end of a song. Also be sure not to miss TOO many notes because some songs still require impressive streaks to get the starts associated with Casey's power.

This achievement requires to get 40 power stars on a single song in quest mode, apperently I got that achievement on the song "Sudden Death" On hard bass, In quest mode, at the last song of the battle.

This can be done on any difficulty. You cannot get this trophy until after you have completed quest mode. Play a song using any powers of your choice. As long as you play well, you will get 40 stars.

After completing the game, you will have access to all the “skills” for any composition, with them it’s quite easy to get 40 stars
