If you're used to playing on Hard or Expert already, this shouldn't be a problem for you. The only tricky parts are when you have to strum the open notes fast. If you're having a hard time doing this, try focusing on strumming ONLY the open notes, and ignore the few colored notes in between. You will make it through the song just fine. If you're still having trouble, make sure you save all of your StarPower for the sections you have a difficult time on. Remember, you only have to PASS the song, so do whatever you need to to survive, and don't worry about your score or stars. Oh, and of course, play on Hard instead of Expert.

Note: This MUST be done on Quickplay+

Just wanted to add something for those who might be having trouble with this, you can use your Powers from quest mode and still get the achievement. So do the Power Challenge when playing the song in QP+, the achievement also doesn't state that you can't use powers unlike the "Hand Mutilator" achievement. I recommend using Star Power Nova+, so that you get full star power from every successful star phrase hit, and either Speed Freak+ to keep your multiplier at 2 (it will also increase quicker) or Star Power Generator+ so that if you can at least get 10 notes in a row, you can slowly fill the Star Power meter even if you miss the star phrases.

Edit: Make sure to use the BASS for this achievement, you wont get it if your use the wrong instrument!

Crazy that people are saying to use Star Powers but nobody mentions the obvious... Resurection+ and Streak Guardian+!

You don't need a good score for the achievement so star power is a waste, you just need to get to the end of the song.

Near the start and the end, when the song switches between 3 open notes and a single/double colour note, just skip the colour note and only play the opens, the streak guardian will stop you from losing your rating.

If all else fails you should be able to earn a couple of resurrections along the way to keep you going.

To help promote this solution, this was the first song I played on Hard Bass and the second song that I used the Bass for. I got the achievement first time.

How I did it as a medium player:
Play the song once on medium, it isn't too hard.
Then switch to hard, play like you're still on medium. Totally ignore the orange notes and you'll fly through it.
I used Speed Freak and Star Power Generator, but didn't need SP to save myself

In addition to all of the above, if you're like me and start following the guitar instead, use the audio mixer in the options menu to decrease the guitar volume and increase the base, it gives you a more clear line of what youshould be playing.
