I try to do this three times but i haven't got the achievement. i played on normal and i get gold every song.

On each song there are three challenges that can be done per instrument. You have to achieve a certain amount in the song to get Gold or Diamond (i.e. streak high score etc.)
I recommend playing the Lenny Kravitz - Fly Away (DLC) on Guitar at a Medium skill. I got all 3 medals at a Diamond level which meant I also got the "Diamond Master" achievement as well.
No doubt, other songs will do the same and if I come across any more I will post them here (providing I remember).

If I get two Diamonds on a song and then go back and play it again...will it count if I get the same two diamonds plus a third?

Both other guides are for guitar achievements, and since I play bass but not guitar I had to find a different solution.
I ordered the songs on bass intensity, the first song I came along starting at the easiest one that actually had three bass achievements was Bloodlines by Dethklok. I never played that song before but I got all three challenges (high score, star power score and open notes played) on platinum easily while playing on hard, and it's not a difficult song.
Perhaps it's even easier than the mentioned guitar challenges, since you don't have to worry about the double notes.

All this is easy to do if you finish the song at 100% and use your SP.

You can earn this trophy on any difficulty. Choose an easy song with easy challenges, and play it until you earn gold on 3 of the challenges. I suggest you play the song "How You Remind Me" by Nickelback on medium Bass. You should get this trophy on your first or second try because the gold challenges are easy.

Gold is the lowest possible standard for a challenge so this should be obtainable on the easier difficulties without too much trouble.
There is always a score challenge, this will probably be the most difficult as the Gold score is usually still high enough that the easier difficulties may struggle to reach that score.
There is usually a note streak challenge and this requires you to play flawlessly for X amount of notes, again if you are on the easier difficulties, should not be too hard.
The 3rd challenge could be anything and it depends on what you are playing, it usually focuses on solos, hammer ons, shaking guitar controller, banking star power etc.
If any challenges involve hammer ons or tap notes, you may be better off avoiding these songs as these will be harder on easier difficulties.
