How to unlock the Player of the Ear Worm achievement in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock - Definitive Guide

Pretty straightforward achievement here . . . simply play any non-GH Tracks song 10 times in Quickplay to pop this achievement. GH Tracks songs do not work to keep people from creating a 1 or 2 note song and getting the achievement too easily. I got it on "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" by Chemical Romance because it is relatively fun to play without being overly long (just over 3 minutes).

Just an FYI to anyone grinding this out, "Get Free" is the shortest on-disc song in the game, clocking in at just a hair over 2 minutes.

*** Thanks also to captincrampy89 and Stunpy for their suggestions on shorter songs as well!!!

There is a shorter song, part 5 of the rush 2112. its on 2 seconds shorter then "get free"

I got it from the Star Spangled Banner, in the free national anthems Track Pack. the song is maybe 2 minutes long.

Despite the fact that this is an old game & if anyone is still trying to get this achievement I'd imagine that it's very few, never the less I thought I'd pass on what helped me ... I had to use this achievement for one of TA's awesome letter challenges ... in particularly the Hangman Event so I had already played through 95% of the quest (campaign/story) so after playing "Get Free" a couple of times in Quickplay I noticed that some of the songs had stars, meaning I'd played them before & thinking that more stars had to mean more times played I found one that was 2:45 long & had 24stars (Linkin Park: Bleed It Out) which I played 2 times & the achievement popped so it might be quicker to pick a relatively short song that you either know you've played several times before or find one where you can see you've gotten stars in more than 1 thing (there are 3 different things you can earn stars in) anywhooo, the best of luck to the few who'll ever read this rock

What exactly do they mean by non-Guitar Hero track?
Cuz, that song is on the disc, how is it not a GH track?

Hey redjarman, a GH Tracks song is one that you or another community member makes themselves in GH Studio, versus a song on the disc from an actual licensed band. As I said in my solution, these do not count towards this achievement because you could theoretically create a 1 note song, play it 10 times and get the achievement that way. Does that make sense?

"Do You Feel Like We Do?" from the GH5 import is actually the shortest song available for guitar hero, at only over 13 minutes! No but seriosuly "Very Ape" by Nirvana(DLC) is 1:59. I believe that is the shortest song available.

This is probably clear but just to confirm; songs can be played on different difficulties and it counts from both quest and quick play together (played the 2112 part 5 once in quest, 8 times on it's own in quickplay, once a difficulty down on medium in a playlist while getting manager of fate).

I'd assume if you get bored you could probably mix it up with other instruments too?

I used Bad Moon Rising from CCR (it's DLC). It's relatively short and I like the song.

If you're doing this achievement, I would advise combining it with the Self Improver and Champion of Challenges achievements, and doing a power challenge. Possibly also going for the Mythical Millionaire challenge would be a good idea; if you're playing a song ten times, why not try to go for that one too? :-)

The top guide is still good but I would just like to add that plays in any mode count to the total so if you use the same song, I recommend 2112 part 5, while getting the Seasoned Competitor achievement you can knock this out without actually ever playing.

All you have to do is play a song on Quickplay+ 10 times. The song you choose to play must be disc-based, not downloaded. Just play the song 10 times and this trophy is yours.
