How to unlock the The Strongest Warrior achievement in Hard Corps: Uprising - Definitive Guide

This is an achievement that will take a fair bit of practice, but if you invest enough time into it, it is doable.

First of all, in Arcade you do NOT have access to your Rising Mode characters. You will start at 2-3 units of health (depending on character), and 2 reserve lives. You have access to Dodge, Ambush, Bullet Reflect, Vault, and Power Tackle. These abilities are context sensitive and are activated with the B button.

Be sure to practice in rising mode, especially trickier levels like stages 6-8. Turn off all upgrades except the above ones, and set your health to 2 or 3 , depending on character. I like to keep a life count at 9, and after beating levels comfortably, start setting goals. An example would be beating all of stage 4 without losing more than 3 lives.

There are a lot of free lives to pick up in Arcade Mode to help you along the way, and a guide where these are can be found in the solution for "Disposable Warrior".

Even so, if you cannot get past a checkpoint within 3 lives, you aren't ready for Arcade.

Over time, your continues will raise. When you start you have 3 of them. Eventually that number will rise to around 20, then 573. Tentative time played is in the 15-20 hour range.

Lastly, do not be discouraged! This is a hard game, but with enough practice you can pull it through. I never thought I would beat level 4 and now I can do it with my eyes closed!

Best of luck! Any suggestions? Drop them in a comment.

Dude you have NO idea how mean this game was to me! I missed the helicopter 3 count em 3!! times and another time killed the boss and died waiting for a platform to come down while the chopper was spawning so I just slowly floated off the bottom of the screen! Great game but the last 3 min ruins it for me.

I've played the game for approximately 8 hours and I have 4 "continues" available.

It's more so tied in to how many times you've died / "continued".

It seems this achievement isn't as hard as it would lead you to believe. Upon reaching ~20 hours of playtime, you'll unlock 573 credits (continues).

So just practice the levels in "Rising" mode, upgrade your characters (naturally, using the alligator's in level 2, or the cranes in level 5), get all the "Star Chips" and finish up your "S" ranks.

Then, get to 20 hours and go for it!!!

These credits should also greatly help in getting the "The definition of a Warrior" (no weapon power-ups) and "World Peace" (Arcade Co-op) achievements.

-- hope this helps.

There are 8 total stages:

  • Stage 1: Desert
  • Stage 2: Jungle
  • Stage 3: Ruins
  • Stage 4: Capital Highway
  • Stage 5: Capital Laboratory
  • Stage 6: Capital Railway
  • Stage 7: Capital Tower Building
  • Stage 8: Battle Ship

You have to complete them all in one go. Once you complete Stage 8 the trophy will pop. See the following thread for General Walkthrough Videos: General Walkthrough Videos

Beat the game in Arcade Mode. There isn't much more to this than that, but here's what we call "going the extra mile:"

For this achievement, and any other that requires playing through Arcade Mode (again, excluding "I'll make them pay...") since you gradually get more Credits the more you play the game (and eventually "unlimited,") they eventually become easier and easier. Just take your time, have fun in Rising Mode, make some high scores...When it's time to get down to business, you'll have more than enough chances to finish the game. As long as you can beat every section with 3 lives, you're golden.

If you have played about 20 hours, then you will be given 573 continuos to help you. With such a bonus, it will not be difficult for you to run through the levels familiar from the risen mod once again. The main joy of this game is that when you get hit, you lose your precious weapon, and with the default gun you won’t get far. If you have such a problem, then I advise you to play as Sayuri. It’s difficult at first, but if you get the hang of it, the levels will fly by and bosses will fall in seconds.
