Hard West Ultimate Edition

So at the end of my first day I panicked when a message popped up on screen telling me my posse members were hungry. Due to the achievement description, this meant failure. Your posse actually gets hungry EVERY night, and this is normal. You MUST feed each member of your team who is hungry at night. Don't worry about this message at night as long as you feed people. I am guessing this achievement will be voided if any of your team remains hungry to start the next day.

I wasted time traveling multiple times early in the scenario to the mill, distillery, and plantation to buy cheap liquor, tobacco, and wood, as well as the opium den. I would then sell it for more gold in town and buy food. I was worried about this achievement, but in the end after buying food every chance I could, I ended with 40 food left over which would have kept me going another 10 days. Some quests give food as well as rewards. I would suggest simply buying a round of tobacco, liquor, wood, or opium the first time it comes up to sell at town for a little profit so you have gold for food when you see it. Not to worry, this one is rather easy imo.
