Fail 3 out of 5 salvage goals during industrial Action

How to unlock the Solidarity Forever achievement in Hardspace: Shipbreaker - Definitive Guide

There are two achievements for this one mission. DO THIS ONE SECOND.

During Act 3 of the campaign you will have an option to do the mission "Industrial Action." This will come along around the time you get under a billion debt, see the Act 3 achievement guide for more information and spoilers, but it's triggered in part by receiving a "spam" email on your employee terminal. First, you should do the achievement for completing 3 salvage goals on this mission. Once that achievement pops immediately select abandon shift in the menu to return to the menu so you can do Industrial Action again for this second achievement for failing 3 salvage goals.

To get this achievement: simply wreck up the ship. Blow stuff up with demo charges, meltdown the reactor, etc. A lot of it will require tossing stuff in the wrong bins, but when in doubt cutting stuff up with your saw works too. This achievement will pop when you have failed 3 salvage goals (pretty easy), and the mission will end when you have 5 total either passed or failed. The timer is removed so it's pretty easy to take your time and have fun with it.

I’m not up to this mission yet, but getting close. Just had a quick question, is this a mission with a good financial reward? Is it worth Abandoning after it fails, to then do it again for all the goals?

Does industrial action/solidarity forever choice change the story much? I don't want to be a scab, but I also dont want to do all that work correctly and then just abandon it if it doesn't effect the story...

Its a 32 million credit ship. You're meant to succeed first for Disagree and Commit achievement, quit, then [the point of the mission is to] fail it for Solidarity Forever.

Just to add to this, The mission is part of the main story line so don't need to worry about missing getting it. https://i.imgur.com/jD0kvDO.png

Why does the succeed need to be done first?

So for some reason this did not unlock for me and I didn't notice until I finished the game. I suspect it was because I went a bit crazy with the demo charges and instantly failed 3 goals and the game couldnt track it properly.

To answer the questions above:

There is very little difference between failing and succeeding on the goals. Some dialogue during the mission changes, but the game only has one ending.

You can do them in either order. I did fail first then succeed. Just make sure to quit/dashboard as soon as you pop the first one to avoid multiple playthroughs.

You don't have any time restriction in this mission.

Just unplug UCE / fuel and reactor should blow up giving you at least 2 failed goal.

If you want Disagree and Commit, you can quit or Alt+F4 as soon as you got this one to restart.

Can be obtained in one playthrough.
When you select the "collective protest" task, you will have unlimited time to either complete 3/5 of the dismantling objectives or fail.
I first completed 3 tasks, received the “Object and Confirm” award, closed the game, booted up and found myself back in the task selection menu, started the “collective protest” task again from the beginning and now I have already failed 3 points by simply blowing up the reactor, engines and burning with explosives.

In my opinion, it is better not to explode, but to dismantle it in the usual way, but we burn what is in the barge with a cutter, and swap the furnace and processor.
If you blow everything up, you'll spend more time fiddling with the fragments
