How to unlock the Da Mouse-Vinci achievement in Hasbro Family Game Night 3 - Definitive Guide

This has to be done on Remix. There are 5 types of traps that can be built. All you have to do is build one of each in a single game of Remix. Best bet is to play a full game.

Since the game is won when you fill your cheese wheel, your best bet is to do this with 2 controllers and no AI. When in the game, simply make both mice get caught in the traps to stop the wheels from filling up so fast. I did this on my first try and it took 10-15 minutes.

*EDIT* You may also want to try this, as suggested by rawdeal42:
Try playing with 2 controllers & no AI, but with the dummy profile being in the Player 1 spot and the gamertag trying for the achievement as Player 2. For some reason, I landed on the trap-setting spaces far more often with that set-up and knocked the achievement out in 1 game, as opposed to the almost 20 tries as Player 1

How do you possibly get the game to last long enough for this to work? I've done about 10 games now and the farthest I've gotten is 3 traps. It's simply too easy to get cheese for the game to last even a full cycle around the map. The die always seems to gravitate towards a number that will make one of the players win.

When I was doing this with my cousin, we had some difficulty because the games were ending quickly, but we still got it in about 4 or 5 games.

You just have to set the traps right in front of where the characters are on the board and make sure you get caught in the trap to lose a piece of cheese.

Damn hard, seriously can't get beyond 3-4 traps, seems endless to me since the cheese you lose is dropped on the board..maybe some are just pure random luck i guess

It definitely still takes a lot of luck. I won't lie, it's a frustrating achievement

Couldn't hardly even get 3 traps built on most games but when I finally popped the achievement I had built 9 traps! It's all just the random luck of the dice - I found though that if you could roll a 1 or a 6 to begin with and get a trap built on your first roll then that is a big help. I actually rolled a 1, followed by a 5 in the game I got it on so I had 2 traps built from my first 2 turns :)

i can confirm it's best to play as second player because my dummy account has the achievement and i don't

After trying this method (playing as player 2) player 1 (my alternate tag) got the achievement. Playing as player 2 isn't any better, the achievement is entirely dumb luck based on rolls and where the cheese wedges randomly drop when you get hit.

^ Two tries later (as player 1) I finally got the achievement. Still giving a positive vote because it doesn't hurt to play as player 2 (except if you get the acheivement as player 1 the first time you try it laugh).

All I do is hit cheese all game. This game sucks.

EDIT: Got it next game. Put traps on the crossovers and ahead of the player with the most cheese. Get enough traps on the board and the cheese becomes (mostly) manageable.

With two or more human players and no AI, it's pretty easy to get the game to last longer; just intentionally mess up dodging the traps every time and it's almost impossible for anyone to fill up their cheese wheel (usually... I did have a game where I won anyway because nobody ever landed on the build trap spaces lol... but it stacks the odds in your favor).

I swear the cheese I lose from the traps is being dropped on the spaces on the board ahead of me, that's what always messes me up, you go past some cheese on top of spaces and then you land on a cheese wheel and bam you win the game!

The less that you land on the cheese wheel spaces, the easier this achievement becomes. Once the cheese wedges are in play, they become a bitch to get rid of completely. When you lose a cheese wedge in a trap, they seem to drop it elsewhere on the board, ahead of you or your opponent and that just fills up your cheese wheel quicker.

Start a 2-player game of remix Mouse Trap. You must build one of each of the 5 different trap types with player 1 before the game ends. This can be frustrating as the game ends as soon as someone completes their cheese wheel, which can be done very quickly if they land on the right spots. Make sure to have your players get caught in every trap along the way so they lose cheese and extended your time frame for getting this one. Once you've built all 5 of the different trap types with player 1, the trophy will pop!
