How to unlock the Lifetime achievement achievement in Hasbro Family Game Night 3 - Definitive Guide
This has to be done on original but can be quick games. Either play against 1 AI or another controller (AI is probably quicker).
- Always choose career rather than college as you'll get 10k to start rather than 100k debt. The game only lasts 5 turns so you're unlikely to get any benefit from a higher paying job.
- Don't bother with a long-term investment, keep the 10k.
- Upon retirement, choose the millionaires estate and make sure you pick the 50k Life Token if you retire first
- To speed things up you can skip the animation of the spinner and the players moving by pressing 'A'
Should take about 10 minutes to complete a game. If you think you're getting hammered after 2 moves you can quit but it's usually worth contining as one turn can easily put you back in the lead.
Make sure you work on the other Game of Life achievements before doing this as you'll rack up a few wins to get you started.

If you get to buying a house just go for the Log Cabin: $100K and $20K profit. The dearer ones have the same profit so pointless buying them. On the 'Wedding Dance' you only get $15K as a top 'prize' and I think it maxs out at 16/17 points, so do the easy ones and don't worry about the others.

Thanks, edited. Good call on picking college with the other controller. I found it quicker to play against the AI as you don't have to play the mini-games, but you're pretty much guaranteed a win using your method.

First of all I would recommend doing this with 1 extra controller.
Choose The Game of Life with these settings:
Game Style: Original
Play with Computer Players?: NO
Select Game Length: Quick Game
Spin the wheel with both controller to decide who goes first. With your extra controller choose College Career to make him start with a debt of $100,000.
With your main profile choose Career and do your best during the mini game. If you collected 6 green cases, you can pick 3 job cards which enhances the chance of picking a well payed job. Obviously you would want to pick the job which pays the most.
As soon as the extra profile lands on the tile where he graduates you're gonna have to do the same mini game. Again, try to collect 6 green cases so you can choose the worst job for your extra profile.
First Dance mini-game
If you land on the Wedding tile you have to do another mini-game. You have to repeat the 'Beats' shown on the 'Beat Bar'. Doing nothing results in gaining $5000, performing very well results in gaining $15,000.
House Hunt mini-game
If you land on the Buy Your First House tile you have to play a mini-game where you must find matching pairs of houses. Flip the cards to match pairs and pick the Log Cabin (the one with a green roof) with your main profile and the Mobile Home with your extra controller. The Log Cabin is the cheapest house that gives you a resale profit of $20,000. The Mobile Home has no resale profit.
After playing 5 turns the game ends and leaves you with one last choice:
Choose the Millionaire Estates with your Main Profile and pick the $50,000 Life Token.
Choose the Countryside Acres with the Extra Controller.
All depends on luck with the spinning wheel, but this method should guarantee a win 90% of the time.
After finishing the game press to continue and choose to Return to Plaza. You could choose Replay and immediately start the next game, but keep in mind that the game doesn't save your progress (wins) as long as you don't return to the main menu. If your games freezes or you get a power shut down you WILL lose all progress.
Rinse and repeat 9 more times.

Start a 2-player quick game (game ends in 5-turns) of original The Game of Life play until the end and try to make your player (the host) win! To give yourself a better chance at winning, try the following:
-
Player 1 (Host/You)
- Select the "Career" route and take the highest paying job you can
- Keep trying to roll high numbers to get to the bonus spaces faster
- Try to get 20+ points on your wedding dance
- Buy a house that gives you $20,000 more in resale value
- Retire to Millionaires Estate and pick the $50,000 life card
-
Player 2
- Take the "College Career" path and try to keep them from getting a job as long as possible by spinning low numbers
- Have them select the lowest paying job you can
- Don't do anything for their wedding dance
- Have them buy the mobile home
- After their 5 turns, have them retire to Countryside
Rinse & repeat 10 times. After the 10th win of your player, the trophy will pop!
