What I did was get to the point of extraction and help my team right up until the end. Once you see the ship getting ready to land, stand under the thruster and it should crush you. Your teammates should be able to get on board and finish the mission.

You can also let your teammates to board the ship while you stay out. There is a short period countdown for you to board to. Just wait until the countdown and the ship will leave without you.
