How to unlock the Medal of Honor achievement in Homefront - Definitive Guide

Okay, this achievement is straightforward enough: Play a ranked match (atm, the only public online playlists are ranked), with at least one other person, while you're the party leader. Then win.

So in an effort to be more than just an explanation of what the achievement is, I'll give some tips for gameplay:

Tip #1: Skirmish mode is similar to other online games, in that one of the players is host. Ground Control and TDM are both hosted with a dedicated server. There's plenty of reasons why dedicated servers are better, but the reason YOU should care is simple: It means nobody has "host advantage". When you aren't dying because of somebody else's connection, you can win a lot more often.

Tip #2: Save your money. Though it's tempting to buy a personal UAV and Flak Jacket every life, it wastes a lot of money if you do it every life. Instead, save up for an Apache or Abrams tank. An Apache is better if you have the skill to fly it, but an Abrams can wreck shit even if you're new to the controls. Not only will you wrack up the kills, but the enemy will focus on you. This means that in GC, your team will be able to capture points with less opposition, and in TDM, the enemy will be distracted, giving your teammates easy kills when they blindside the foe.

Tip #3: Choose your class based on the map. If you're in the Suburbs map, use an SMG or LMG. If you have to use an AR, make sure it's full auto. The map is focused on close quarters, and semi-auto is a weakness up close. This applies for all maps: Play based on the map.

Tip #4: Choose your class based on the situation. If half your team is sniping, you should not be sniping. If your team keeps getting killed by people they can't see, try using a Parrot drone to help them out. If the enemy has tanks, switch to an RPG class. If the enemy is using drones, use the proximity launcher (the default "explosive" class has one, plus it has the "Boomer" ability. So no complaining you don't have it!). If you keep getting killed in the same way, find a way to adapt.

Tip #5: Remember that this achievement is for winning, not doing well. Base your play on that. If you help your team out, it doesn't matter what your K/D is. So if you're a good driver, drive a teammate around in the Humvee. His kills are as good as yours when it comes to winning. If you aren't doing well on foot no matter how you try, consider flying the Parrot drone. It only takes a few "marks" to regain enough BP to buy a second one, and even a mark that doesn't result in a kill helps your team by telling them where the enemy is. There's a reason the "wallhack" 5-star bonus is to see all enemies marked, and that's that marking is USEFUL.

Adapt or die is the name of the game, kids. Do work.

Huh. Can't explain that.

But really, are you complaining? Free achievement!

It seems that the party size does not matter. I won this achievement by inviting one friend into a ranked match (pretty sure it was Skirmish mode), and it popped right after we won.

(Boosting method)....use the rock map downloaded from the marketplace and have 4 people.(No one plays this map)....have 2 on each squad and let the other team win.repeat this process for the other team....sure way of poppiing this achievement with no issue or resistance.

This can done with a party of two. Simply invite a friend and then join a match. This will unlock once you've won the match.
