The first scene of this quest will have a Flashpoint. Flashpoints offer moments of emotional choices. As mentioned in the Roadmap they have no effect on your trophies, choose whatever choices you want.

THE POINT OF THE SPEAR

For years Aloy has trained to win the Proving. Now, with the ritual just two days away, she must pass a final test of her skills - and learn a final lesson.

Objective Log:

1. Find Rost: Simply follow the main path until you find Rost on a cliff.
2. Talk to Rost: Climb up the cliff platform to talk with Rost. After the dialogue, you will get two different objectives from the conversation.
3. Talk to Karst and Trade for a Tripcaster: When you find Karst, have a conversation with him and ask for the Trade. The Tripcaster can be traded for 1 Scrapper Lens.
4. Craft Fire Arrows: Gather 3 Blazes from Striders and 5 Metal Shards from Machines to craft the Fire Arrows. You have to hunt Striders for these materials.
5. Meet Rost at the North Gate: Once you finished the 2 objectives above, return back to Rost who's at the North Gate. You'll need to talk to him and complete the conversation.
6. Rest at the Campfire: Make a Quick Save or Manual Save at the campfire by Rost.
7. Follow the Path of Destruction: You'll learn about the "Sawtooth" machines. Harvest it and then follow the main path until a cutscene triggers.
8. Kill the Sawtooth: There are multiple ways you can go about killing a Sawtooth. For now, it's best to use the Tripcaster to place a Shock Wire across the path of the Sawtooth in order to stun it. You do this by aiming at the ground and firing at two locations to place a Shock Wire. Once it's stunned damage it with the Bow/Spear. When you kill the Sawtooth, the trophy will unlock.
9. Loot the Sawtooth carcass: After killing the Sawtooth, harvest it and take everything.
10. Talk to Rost: This will trigger automatically as a cutscene follows.
